I recieved a phone call on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013. A man with a strong Indian accent, said his name is John Miller from the IRS.   He said I should get a lawyer and call him back Immediately and that there is a great discrepancy in the amount of IRS taxes I owe.  I called him back today with no answer.  No way to leave a message.   Usually if there if there is a message from the IRS, I get a REGISTERED LETTER in the mail giving me all the details and a phone number I can call, with 30days notice to respond.

This caller must have access to IRS government documents which contain my private information and SS#,
stolen from the IRS or he could be a worker inside the IRS threatening people to pay him only. Causing all these problems for people who make payments to the IRS.

Personally I think this Indian guy is a scammer who could be employed by the IRS, trying to steal money from poor innocent people whom are barely making it.  Like all other IRS insiders whom have been caught stealing money from the government and it's people,  It usually takes years before these people are caught.  I remember one IRS auditor whom kept writing IRS checks for himself over a period of 10 years, without being caught.  It was on 60 minutes TV series.  This guy bought a large 2million dollar house in an exclusive neighborhood in Dallas, Texas.  Bought a brand new Mercedes Benz, bought his friends free trips to the carribean.  Gave his girl friend and close friends thousands of dollars in cash and jewelry.

Like today, we see all these people whom work in the IRS are corrupt, forcing tyrannical oppressive government policies on innocent people and organizations, without probable cause.

I received a call from 530-238-5813.  The caller had a very heavy foreign accent and left a message saying to call back Dan Brown.  When I returned the call "Attorney Johnson" answered and asked for my phone number.  He told me there was a law suit against "my name".  He wanted to know my attorney's name.  I asked him to read me the information he had on my law suit.  He put me on hold.  While waiting I did a google search and came upon this site.  SCAM SCAM SCAM.  I hung up right away.

A man and a woman both with heavy Indian accents called twice today to tell me I have a case against me involving IRS for discrepancies on my tax return. Stating police will come to my home and work, take my house (which I don't owe) and collect in any way required. They would not answer my questions. When I told them let me get your info to provide to my Atty who is handling my bankruptcy they abruptly hung up on me.

Same here in LAs Vegas! I asked what my social security number was, as if he was calling from the IRS about my traxes he would have that right there! Called the 530 number several times and annoyed the heck out of THEM!!!!

The IRS doesn't call folks, they mail any info or problems to people.

Guy with a heavy accent call.  Said his name was Shawn Miller.  Claimed to be from IRS legal investigations.  Looking for my husband but didn't know who I am.  Ha!  Asked if I was  HER wife!  I started laughing.  He also called my husband at his office and my husband's assistant started laughing too.  Then the guy called me back because I was laughing at him and told me he would come to our house tomorrow and arrest my husband.  Such a crack up.

I get calls but no voicemails, just shows up on my callerID.  

I too recd a call from this number multiple times and when I called back...the person who answered also had a thick indian accent and asked for my lawyers number...when I asked lawyer for what..he answered in a nasty tone "for my unpaid taxes". I said "sir I don't owe taxes"..he hung up on me..i called back...and was hung up on again. he identified himself as Joseph Daniel...This is definatewly a scam but it needs to stop as someone who really owes taxes might fall for this and this guy could rip them off. he was chewing in my ear...and knowing the process of the IRS they do always sed a letter and when they do call they reference that letter and the number they have assigned to it. THIS GUY IS A FRAUD...How can we report him?  

Of course this called was a scam, but I want to report it. Caller with heavy accent (hard to understand the phone #, had to review a few times to get it). He requested me to call him back regarding a debt to IRS. His fake name was John Miller. After checking on internet, found out a lot of people has gotten the same call.

He changed his name to John Miller but same 'game' call from IRS.  Urgent for me to call back and not ignore the call or legal action will be taken.  My heart skipped a beat as you never want the IRS to call.  As I thought about it some things dis not add up:

1) VERY heavy accent, none english speaker for a 'John Miller'
2) IRS does not call , they send letters
3) "Legal Action will be taken" does not sound like the IRS.  They do NOT take legal action. IRS does a levy on your bank account or paycheck.

I too am getting these calls. I called back and was calls every form of B---H you could come up with. I placed the phone down and let this guy scream and tell me I was his B---H and other words you don't want to know. I am taking further steps to report  the incident which includes the police and elder abuse.

Just received a call from this number saying he was with the IRS and there was a deficiency in my last return and he needed the name and phone number of my attorney to prevent any further negative action from taking place.  Since he could hardly speak English I seriously doubt  the IRS would put someone with that limited speaking ability on the phones.  Also, anyone who has had dealings with the IRS you know that they send you notices and request that you call them and they give 800 numbers. SO THIS WAS A BIG CROCK OF ----!!!
Don't be fooled - hang up!

My wife received 3 call today (November 1st, 2013), I called back at the 530-238-5813 number and got the person with the foreign accent, asked for his ID number, he then hung up.

I received this phone call today from a man with a heavy Indian accent . He told me I was being sued for not paying the rite amount of money on my taxes . I told him I'll go to the IRS  building here in NYC and get this resolved , he said they will not be able to help me !! So I asked him for his name and Id #. He said his name was Kevin Dettor. I asked him to spell it and he said u don't know how to spell my name . I said really? Then he hung up . DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM , DON'T GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION..

Yesterday, 11/1/13, at 9:01AM EST I received a call from this phone number. The guy who identified himself as Mike Rogers asked to speak to my brother, who hasn't lived with me since we were kids. "Mike Rogers" had a very thick Indian accent & claimed to be from the IRS.  I had to ask him to repeat his name & the name "IRS" several times before I understood what he was saying.  I told him my brother wasn't available and he hung up. I knew this wasn't legit because no name appeared on my caller ID, the guy spoke very poor English, the IRS doesn't call people, I've had this phone number in my name for 30+ years AND my brother & I haven't lived together in years.  I will be reporting this to my local BBB & everyone else I can think of on Monday morning.

Had this number call several times. Heavy accent, named Michael Johnson. Right. He could hardly say it.
Called back and they asked for attorney info. Told him I don't have one. He says to call back right away and talk to
'some other average American name'.  Like others said, why not just transfer me, it's the same number I just called.
Had my wife call back from my phone. when asked what she cpuld do for hime, he said to 'hang up sweetheart, and never call this number again. Went on to say maybe we could have good time. What a sleeze. About a week later got the same message from another number. A few days later, (on a Saturday, like the IRS is working weekends) from yet another number.
Just ignore this junk  Wish we could have someone go in and arrest these these clowns.

A women caller with a heavy accent who can barely speak English claims to be from the IRS. She said if I don't call a Mr. Kevin Peterson today the IRS will file legal action against me. I know the IRS always mails a notice first and will always have a toll free number to call. This is definitely a scam.

Phone call was left from that phone number and the accent was so strong it was difficult to understand - when I called the number back he answered he was with the IRS- the number was left on my mother in laws phone so I knew it could not be correct asking for me.  Tried to tell me now it was my mother in law he was calling on and she owed back taxes from 2005-2012.  I told him that was interesting she doesn't own a home - hasn't for 10 years and asked him who he was trying to call give me a actual name and he hung up.  I tried to call back 3 times and they won't answer the phone.
