Got this call at 9PM lady said she was calling in behalf the Butte County Health Dept. I just let the answering machine pick up the call.

Got a call from this number ON A SATURDAY, caller id says "SSI".. doubt it. Social Security work on a Saturday at 3:30 in the afternoon? Me thinks not. And there is no reason for them to be calling this number. No one here is on SS SSI SSD or any government assistance.   I let it go to the answering machine, (yes I still have one of those), then I heard noise (like the chattering of a call center), then the line disconnected. NO message.. BLOCKED now.

This is SSI  Survey Sampling, a marketing research company. To get removed from their call list:  URL is http://www.surveysampling.com/.

Keep in mind that if they do not place you on their internal DNC list, they can still get into trouble. As a rule, survey's are exempt from the DNC though. Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or under.

I keep getting this call from SSI.  I need it to stop.  I have an ill person here and these calls are very disturbing.
It is from a Sample Survey Company.

Unwanted calls several times a day from 8am to 9:40pm. Harrassment!

i have got over 22 numbers from butte county calif.  asking for my address some have my name others demand ssi# or personnel info ,  i live'ed in chico 2006 to 2013  in 2008 i found i was being stalked .  i put a cam and caught two persons images 4 years later and 7 bank accounts 3 resident's 4 cars and my dog poisend i found someone had stole more than i know . i met GEORGE EDWARD RILEY    THE MAN IN THE VIDIO FOUR YEARS EARLER  he had keys to my post office and front door he wonted the hard drive !  and I AM in new mexico lost every thing . still i m gettin hang up on my new # the other person is mike fair-cloth he lives in Washington state now , eddie vortex G.E.R. had a broad band # that stalks phones and people 5306360009  several serial killers have been arested in chico and butte county calif  THE WILL stalk& KILL YOU over 8 months to two years take all spoil .   see forgoten burial  by jodi L. This person has kept calling our house phone never says anything when we pick the phone up and never leaves a message. They have been doing this for the last week or two and it's getting really annoying. Also due to calls by a person who claim they kidnapped a family member are going around  the area and the person asks for ransom money. Calls by the SSI are causing a tad bit of paranoia so, annoying person if you read this please stop.

These are computer generated calls that come in all times of the day and night, Sat. and Sun. Calls are completely unwanted.

The annoying person is not likely to be here reading your post, and anyway how would they know who you are, and how to stop calling you? Mind you, they're probably crooks, so they wouldn't stop just because you ask them to.

My question: you said "this person has kept calling our house phone" and "we pick the phone up..."

I can't help but ask WHY? Why do you keep picking up? Do you think THIS time they'll say something? And if they do say anything, that it'll be something you need to hear?

Call blocker might be of some help.

These idiots called us at 5:40 in the freaking morning!!!  Some BS company asking a bunch of questions. Caller ID said SSI. They should not be allowed to use that. It is deceiving!

Its clearly a scammer.  Called during dinner and left no VM, and from an area code I should never receive calls from.

I got it 2 times last night said SSI  530 4285121  on my caller ID   one at 7:45pm then at 8:15 pm    hey and they didn't work yesterday because it was a holiday Martin King bd.   I did *67 and called it back got a machine saying Thank for calling back at SSI  we would like to do a survey on you   I hanged up

what I found out with SSI  it is a fraud   they don't do survey

Good grief!!  Ended up blocking this number and now they call constantly.  2-6 times a day.  Phone rings once & disconnects.  I don't know what they hear on the other side but then they turn around and call again seconds later.
