This number is part of a phone scam. Robo-call from person identifying himself as "Steve Martin". Claims to be calling re: and enforcement action by U.S. Treasury and threatening criminal prosecution if call is not returned. I received (2) calls this morning from this same number.

Received message @ 9:00am this Monday morning with the same request to call back to avoid being prosecuted by the U.S. Treasury.  Also received a call on Sat. Sept. 20th at 9:07 am from a person identifying himself as Steve Martin.  Same request but a different call back phone number - 559 797-8497.

East Indian [***] trying to extort money from Americans. Do not give any money or info and report to police. Also report to magic jack abuse to disconnect this SOB's VOIP phone line. Hopefully he'll have to spend money to get a new one.

Ditto on the phone calls, two in two days.  Someone stop this madness.  I found information on line while he was threatening me on the phone.  WHen I read them the info, they hung up.  Didn't stop them from making the threatening "Second call" the next day.  Ruined my day but I am so over it.

Yesterday I got a call from this number and realized immediately it was a scam, I called the number repeatedly, each time keeping them on the phone as long as possible (its kind of fun actually).  This makes it impossible for them to conduct "business" and within one day the number has been disconnected.  I assume they're sending out robocalls with a different number now but that means they've lost a lot of potential victims.  If one person can do this in one day I would think that many people flooding their new number (post it if you get it) would incapacitate them even faster.  This is a viscious extortion scam that targets the unsophisticated and I think we should all oppose it just as we would oppose any terrorist or bully.
