Why is a nameless someone calling from Wisconsin -- do they have a great offer on cheese curds?

Got the call, no idea who, just some idiot laughing and hung up..

Received calls from this number on Sept 9th and 17th, both shortly after 8 p.m., CDT.  I didn't answer and no message was left by caller.

Received calls from this number of a land line in Wisconsin. As I said hello, the caller hung up!

called 9/28/10 at 3:50 no message left. must be someone wih a lot of time on their hands

I just got a call from the same # but did not answer and I don't have voicemail on my house phone!  Funny when I search online it says this # is not valid and also found a site that said caller could have purposely spoofed caller ID.  Weird!  Whoever it is must be bored because apparently they are calling lots of people.

Called the number back and some girl answered "style and co" after like 50 rings???? Weird.

i called this number after the number just called my home to get "we are sorry....this number has been disconnected".....................................WHAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have received several calls from this number. When I answer, I hear a click as soon as I answer as if who ever it is didn't expect to hear my voice and quickly hung up. I've let my voicemail answer a couple of times, and I can hear people talking an laughing in the background, but they never leave a message.

The call came tonight at 6PM MDT. Rang three times, captured it on caller ID, said hello and I got a click and they hung up.  I returned the call immediately, dialed back, and the recording said, " We are sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed. Hang up and try again."  Dialed it again and same thing.  We do not know a soul in Wisconsin.  Wonder what is going on.

These are a bunch of crooks ...in my opinion. Because the nr. doesn't EXIST !!!!! So I put them on my rejected calls list ...!

"Name not found" on Caller ID; no message on answering machine. (I never pick up on these kinds of calls.)

I got a call dinner hour of course, said name not available, He deep toned voice said ( good evening Mame am from satalite? how are you this evening?)  I said am not interested and hung up!  SO MUCH FOR THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST ! and I sign up every 4 months.

This number showed up on my caller ID.  No message was left.

Received this call at 2:57 p.m. CST, unknown number, did not answer...no message on answering machine.  Called the number back and got a recording that said the number could not be completed as dialed, if I felt I reached the message in error I could hang up and try again.  No idea!  Will not answer next time either!

Someone just recently stole our credit card and ran up $3k worth of charges.  The only place we used our credit card that entire week was one transaction at a resort, and at an urgent care center (that day).  Now we;ve gotten a call from this number.  I do think it might be someone trying to verify phone numbers.  Have put a fraud alert with all three credit agencies.  Maybe I'm paranoid.

scam call apparently.  get the same "call not completed as as dialed" mssg.  534 and 715 are both WI area codes...HMMM m

Never leaves a message.

Caller ID gave number as 534-715-7843.  Called the number back to see who and why person calling, but got recording of a young woman's voice saying, "We're sorry.  Your call cannot be completed as dialed.  Please check the number and try your number again; 3440235. . . (numbers unclear)"  

Messaged repeated three times before there was a ringing and usual telephone operator's recorded voice announcing "The number cannot be completed as dialed.  Please check the number and dial again," then disconnected.
