I received a call from this number today at approximately 3:00 pm.  It was a recorded message from Rayne Environmental LLC of Fredericksburg, VA, and they are soliciting households for water testing.  I filed a complaint with the FTC for violating the Do Not Call Registry, and I suggest that everyone else who receives a call from this company do the same.  The recording says that there is no charge for the testing, but it is still a telemarketing call and is still a violation of the DNC Registry.  The link to file a complaint is:  https://www.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx

By the way, for anyone who might be considering accepting the offer of free water testing, I found no website or anything else online that verifies the validity of this company, so there is always the possibility that it is nothing more than a ruse to gain access to your home.

Got a call from this number today.  Recorded call "offering" water testing.  I did a "free" water testing with another company and it was just a ruse to sell water softening equipment that cost 4-5X what you could get elsewhere.

Called my unlisted number that is on the do not call registry.  Left no message.  They can forget about doing any water testing in my home.  If they don't bother to respect the do not call registry, forget about trusting them in anything.

I received several calls from this company back in January but it finally stopped, so I thought that maybe, just maybe, they didn't realize that they were breaking the law and changed their ways after my complaint to the DNC registry.  But lo and behold, they're calling again from a slightly different number (540-479-3343), so it is blatantly obvious that they know exactly what they're doing and have no respect whatsoever for the DNC registry.  Now that they've really pissed me off, I dare them to call me again.  If the FTC can't stop them, I'll plaster their name all over the internet to the point that no one within 500 miles of Fredericksburg will ever do business with them.

I wish you luck in your crusade, but just FYI, here it is almost August 2012 & these creeps are still calling innocent residents of the Fredericksburg area -- even those on the Federal DNC List.  They called me yesterday.  You must realize the DNC List is worthless.  I am convinced that the telescummers use the List as a source for phone numbers.  I personally have gotten more of these types of calls since I put my number on the List than ever before.  The scummers are not afraid of the FTC -- they laugh at the threat!

Best way to handle this problem -- until the Feds wise up & outlaw telemarketing period -- is to just not pick up the phone on a number you don't recognize.

My phone number is on the DO NOT CALL LIST.  Any kind of water testing is affiliated with some kind of scam.  Besides, my husband and I sue a well which is over 3400 feet deep.  Our water is probably a much better quality than any coming from the lcoal munipality.  WE ned only to filter our water to remove the mineral content.

I reperoted the cller to the Do Not Call Registry.  I plan to also reprot the caller to the FTC.  Unfotuantely the FTC was blacked this morning.  This entity has not right to call private people for water testing, and especially to intrude upon my Sunday morning relgious telivision viewing.I hope that this entity recieve a hefty fine!

Like an earlier report, I had "free" water testing from another company and they came into my home with some colored indicators, which they claimed showed that my water was extremely hard, then they tried to sell water softening equipment that cost about 10x more than the system sold at the local hardware stores.

I have noticed phone calls from Rayne Environmental over the past several days. They leave no message. Today I called them back and told them if you have business with me leave a message. If you do not and are a telemarketer or trying to sell me something remove my number from your call list. One more call and I report them to the FTC. The FTC needs to do something with people that operate outside of the Do Not Call List.

These bums at Rayne Environmental have been cold calling since at least Jan 2011 -- 2 & a half years now.  Look at the other posts on this page: most everyone says they on the DNC List & will report these illegal calls to FTC.  Surely some of these posters have done that.  Still, Rayne Environmental continues calling us -- they haven't even changed their number like many scammers do to keep ahead of the Law.  Something strange here.  Whatever, these crooks are simply not fazed by threats or complaints.  They are still in business, still phishing for victims.  I just got another call from them minutes ago.  I never pick up ... you'd think that would tell them they're wasting their time.

I'm on the DO NOT CALL list (like everybody else on this site) and have had 2 calls from these cretins.  Maybe everybody should start calling them back at all hours.  They list their address as 101 Armor Ct, Fredericksburg, VA 22406 .  Google maps shows it as a residential townhouse complex.  It's either a scam or a small time operation of dubious character (or none at all)..   Next time they call, I'll make an appointment with them.. Just to waste their time!

Just got the call, I listened to the whole message, it gave me an option to press #2 to be removed.  Hmmmm, even that seems dodgy but I tried it.  Let's see if it works.  ugh.   So sick of all these calls even though I'm on DNC.   Such a joke DNC.
