left messages that warrant was being issues by a federal magistrate  I owed huge debt , get my attorney call them back ! I called back gave them no info, heavy Indian 1st time he was Steve Martin, after i chewed out  he spoke a little better but hung up on saying he was issuing the warrant.  I called back later after failing a fraud report ( no faith there, can't find a human) ;I  gave him a different name and told him  he had just called me , his name now  (the same man same accent) was now Jordan Scott . This time I played him along for a long time till he finally told me what I owed   8k and he could kindly help me and stop the warrant if I sent him the money . I made a counter offer of $200 He got mad and chastised me for wasting his time   ,  .

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

This is a false call from the IRS.  They do not call people.   Do not be duped by this type of call.  It is fraud.

Called me three times this morning, once while I was on the phone with this number. Left messages saying he was Steve Martin from the IRS, but gave me a different name when I called him back. Definitely same guy! Refused to tell me who he was calling for, but insisted it was me and could not tell me my name. Used scare tactics saying my taxes for 2011 were improperly filed, that I still owe money, and that a warrant had been issued for my arrest. I told him he was wrong and hung up on him. Do not give these people ANY information. Hang up! What a scam!

Message on my answering machine said he was from IRS and his name was Steve Martin...I think...very heavy Indian accent. Then said failure to comply may result in legal action, but I could not understand what I was supposed to comply with..due to heavy Indian accent.  This is obviously some kind of scam!

This scumbag with an indian accent called and said I  better call him back concerning some federal criminal offense.  Yeah, right!!!  This is nothing but a scam.  Do not cooperate with these scammers in any way, do not give them any information and please don't send them any money.  Caller ID says "Stafford, VA." instead of their real name and the phone number itself is probably spoofed.

Scam. This must be the 20th call I received over the past several months. It's fun to play along. I used various names from Saturday Noght Live when I returned the call. They never catch on.  reporting seems to be a waste of time. So have fun but don't fall for the criminal scam.

Received two calls this morning from "Steve Martin".  Claiming to call so he can prevent me from criminal Charges.  Bull Sh*t call.  How can we stop this without spending money?

I was startled to find a message from "Steve Martin", with a heavy Indian accent, on my voicemail saying something about appearing before a magistrate; I called back the number, feeling foolish, to figure out what was what since I could barely understand him; and received the same stupid *garbage* as everyone else, this time from a female with an Indian accent. While on the phone I looked up this number online and found this site: no surprise they're a bunch of scammers. Annoying.

Third call today.  Sadly, they could only speak to my fax machine.  These criminals have gone on long enough.  The telephone companies allow these calls to go through with numbers that are spoofed or are in other words "NO GOOD", why except to make money.   45 out of 50 Attorney Generals have filed a compliant with the FTC to make telephone companies provide free blocking for these types of numbers.  Oh yea, if you live in Arizona, our wonderful Attorney General did not want telephone companies to have to spend any money to help their customers so he did not join in the legal action.  Another RepubliCAN't. help anybody but big businesses.  Money talks BIG in politics of America.

It's totally annoying that these people are allowed to continue scamming people.  Steve Martin or not, he's also giving Indian people a bad name.

The problem is that these calls are coming from overseas and that poses a problem if the country of origin will not cooperate with our agencies.

'Steve Martin' with a heavy accent left message stating I needed to call back to avoid a warrant being issued for me. Left his number of 540-669-1528 so I could call him back so he could help me!!! Yea - Right! I blocked that number!

Just received message from "Steve Martin" (had very heavy Indian accent) saying that we need to call back and cooperate with them so they can help us because there was an enforcement action against us executed by the US Treasury Department regarding a federal criminal offense! Will not be calling back and will block the number!

Yup, Steve Martin left me messages twice this morning.   Federal Magistrate..... ewwwww ahhhhhh    So scary.   Recorded message, they have a automated dialer set up.   Bunch of BS

Same story as everyone else...Steve Martin (Indian voice) called and left a VM threatening legal action and did not specify a name as to who the message was intended for. I called back and an Indian woman answered and wouldn't tell me who the message was intended for so I hung up.

I got the same call as the others. This is another phone scam!

Just got a call from this number. Indian accent man says he's Steve Martin and says I'm in trouble and owe money. Says to call back and gives a number to call. I just hung up. Sounds like some hoax call to me.
