Did you post anything on Kijiji? I got a call from the same number today

I have been receiving a call from this number on my house and cell....THIS IS A SCAM....

The individual was pestering me with an offer to list my used car for sale with them, i.e. we have several buyers in your area etc. I had listed my car on the local Kijiji site and they keep asking if I wanted to sell through them. It was the 3rd. call to date despite the fact that I told them that I will NEVER pay a fee upfront before the service was done satisfactorily. I told her that if they sell my car through them, I will gladly pay a fee for it afterward. The lady (?) told me that they don't operate that way and I told her that I don't go for scams of that sort.

I advertised my late husband's truck for sale through our local newspaper and bulletin board.  I have been contacted  several different times by this number and also other numbers saying they could sell the truck guaranteed and only pay a small fee.  Finally quit answering the phone when it came up on caller ID and then they started calling my son as his number was in my ad also.  My belief is that all three of the companies that are calling are scam and I want nothing to do with them.

why would someone from virginia call ontario to purchase a used car. i believe it is a scam and did not return call. my opinion just ignore these calls !!!!

It is a scam. DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UPFRONT.
Seems Matt and the company ,AMS ,search out ads, and try scamming us with buyers.

I listed my Moms car since she does not drive any more and some guy called, stated his name and said he called me last week.  What a bunch of crap, my car was NOT listed last week.  Which means he LIED right from the beginning, and when he started to argue with me I said.. "OK, so since we talked what is my Name?"  Long pause on the phone, off course, and then he forgot to write it down.  Ya, right....

Then he goes into a hard sell to pay them UP FRONT for helping you sell your car.  Again, total crap!  You NEVER pay up front for any sales service, you pay ONLY if they sell something for you.  You pay AFTERWARDS ONLY.

THIS IS A SCAM!!!   THERE IS NOT A COMPLETE REFUND, GUARANTEE IS NOT THEIR MOTO!! If you READ the "Money Back Guarantee" they keep around $30 which they call a "fee".  So it is ALL CRAPOLA!!!  

Never, never pay ANY "Salesperson" up front, they then have no motivation!!

So, you know what they say, it is easier to steal a dollar from a million people than steal a million dollars from one person.

The company is AMS, also known as AMSvehiclesales.com, they are on the East Coast.  This is a telemarketing call to make you sign up for a crappy service with a bunch of liars.

just found out that they want $250 up front and they NEVER give you refund.  Their BBB rating is a D- and they are under investigation in at least 6 States.  In addition, it is a company under ADVENTIS Corporation, and they get around by using a non profit loophole and robocall you after trolling around for ads on line for people trying to sell their cars.  They actually do not have a not for profit, but I guess the IRS cannot prove it.  What a bunch of SCAMMERS, and especially during these hard time.  I do not know about you but $250 is chunk of money for me.

Matt from AMS has called me numerous of times, & my cell phone is broke (whenever someone calls it comes up unknown so I never answer it) he always leave a voicemail saying he can help sell my vehicle for a very small fee blah blah blah. I find it hilarious seeing I'm 19 & I don't even own a car & have never tried to sell one. This is definately scam.

called me today said that i had contacted them for an auto insurance quote and that they were called lcn or lsn insurance. i told them i never heard of them and that i never called. they told me someone in my family must have done it on my behalf trying to insure my car for me they then tried to get me to tell them what year ,color ,make and model of my car was . i hung up on them . some how they knew me by name and acted like we talked before which we had not.
