Called me at 7:30am. I let it go to voice mail. They did not leave a message.

This phone number is from some type of boiler room telemarketing operation overseas. They state that they calling on behalf of Bank of America, Chase and other Banks- which is not the case. they contacted me stating that they could lower the interest rate on my credit card. they asked for the expiration date and the 2nd four numbers on the card. they continued to say they would not ask for any "secure" information. when pressed-I asked them if they were contracted by Chase or BOA and they couldn't answer. they then asked for the last 8 #'s of my card and already stated the first 4. Do they think we are stupid? I told them I was not comfortable in giving that to them and said I was hanging up and contacting the bank. While on the phone with the cc company- they called my cell phone 8 times. I reported them to the fraud department. they also knew the balance on my card. Very fishy...phishy.... My bank is going to have their fraud dept. go after them.

Received call form 718-526-8740. Said I could not hear well, line breaking up. Said they would call me back. Same person returned call from this number, 541-200-3337. I had same experience as CB above on 5/1/14. I too said not comfortable giving them the information. They quickly hung up when I was firm about not being comfortable providing information to a caller and that I'd call the number on my credit card directly. I called my card # and that said it was NOT them calling me with this promotion.

I received a call from 978-465-3172, stating same thing as above about lowering interest rate.  They had a rough estimate balance on the card, but i figured that could easily be gotten by anyone smart enough to try.  (I figured this for a scam and decided to play along a little bit), I told them i was unhappy with interest rate and would love to have it lower, he asked for exp date, i told him that i didnt have the card on me.  I then asked him to verify my name because "I would hate for him to be talking to the wrong person with a deal so good".  He said he had not accessed my information yet, that's why he needed the exp date.  I took it a step further and said, oh, I found my card, would you like the whole cc #.  He excitedly said yes, so I proceeded to tell him my CC# was 999 Go F$%K Yourself and then i hung up.

He called right back from 541-200-3337, asking why I hung up on him, I told him i wasnt stupid and wasnt going to give him my cc info.  He said he didnt need it, and because i was a son of a b#@$h he was going to close my account.  I'll try to repost if one of my accounts gets closed, but i dont think anything will come of it.  Oh yeah, he told me was going to call everyday "So deal with that".

Very heavy accent, not going to speculate where from, but not Spanish or Indian as far as i can tell.

Said they were from chase bank wanting to lower my interest i was suckered gave my card number then they told me my balance, she said i needed more to get the approved lower % offered  so to get all my credit cards out and get the balance to at least 3500, they would consolidate all of them, i then said no and she said she would call back tomorrow when my husband was home, very angry and said your husband told me to call you and you would have all the credit cards.    heavy accent and a lot of static.  I found this site and called my credit card company immediately and canceled my card  

First call was from a Florida area code. I told the guy I wasn't interested. Then he called me from 541-200-3337. The guy sounded Indian. Gave me the same song and dance about lowering my interest. I have him my expiration date and finally figured this guy was full of it. I asked if he worked for Chase and he said that they work "with" chase. I hung up on him and he called me back 5 more times and I didn't answer. Seems very very shady!

Claims to be able to help lower interest rate on credit cards.  I told him I don't pay interest on credit cards.
I hung up on him.  Less than a minute later this same sounding voice called back on 201-843-8037 and
tried to continue his scam.

OMG. they will not stop calling. Same song and dance as everyone else.. when you get to the financial advisor.. they request 30 minutes of your time and that you have to call each of your cc people and bank and tell them to drop any red flags on the accounts so that they can lower the rate. Really! HOW stupid are people? What is scary is that I gave them a wrong last 4 digits of ss# and they caught it. They could tell me each of my purchases on my cards.

The number was 541-200-3337 where they claim to be Bank of America asking for my credit card number.  The person calling me has called 8 times in one day.

I reiterate what many others have said about this caller who has the audacity to give out his own id number and badge number ad the last four digits of his own social security number in an attempt to get you to provide information to lower your interest rate.  The accent is heavy hispanic complete with a supervisor who tries to get the same information from you and who knows the last date of your payment and your card balance.  Hang up and do not give these people any information.  I reported them to the FCC.

SAme here..guy just called again and would not hang up. Very shady and would not give out any information on who he was working for, company name, contact information, etc. Ugh, now I'm worried.

What has been said by previously by other posts is accurate. This caller can be very persuasive and determined to make you believe that they can help you get lower interest rates. BEWARE and be very careful!  Check with your CC issuer - they never make cold calls like this one to offer you lower rate.  Also, submit a complaint to the National Do Not Call Registry about this number.

The callers are the drug-addicted "card services" scammers, who call us, pretending to be associated with our credit card companies, in an attempt to fool us into giving them our credit card numbers, so they can rip us off. People that have given their card numbers to these junkies have suffered severe financial losses. Beware of these lowlifes, and warn others, before they are cheated!

got a call from them a few times and finally went through most of the questioning but hung up when I googled the 6418435236 and the 5412003337 phone numbers that brought me to this site. THey then called back repeatdly and I told them I put a fraud alert on my cards and I googled the phone numbers and found out they were frauds and they hung up on me! THis is truly a scam!

I received calls as noted below.  First two they were breaking up.  One was number 330-816-7592 then from 541-200-3337.  The third call which I could barely understand the foreign man was about lowering my interest rate but first he mentioned a balance on my card.  When I mentioned I didn't have a balance he hung up.  The 330 number is under Armstrong Telecommunications...this is the call that I asked them to call me back.  When they did it came up as the 541 number.
