Another dimwit, nitwit, nincompoop, twit calling and hanging up.  Caller ID shows name as Ranking Company.  If they think they are so smart and offer valuable service to my business, why don't these morons leave a message ?????????????????????

Ditto to P. Schwinn above; with caller I.D. showing "Ranking Company" originating out of Oregon it could not be anything more than the Google placement ad SCAM; just another day, another number & who in legitimate business these days would fall for such 'cold call' solicitations?  Another passed by call; may all the intrusive people thinking they 'might make a living' ROT IN HELL!

We just got a call on our business line. I sent them to voicemail. Didn't leave a message. Blocked the number after.

Caller said the telltale "may I speak to the owner" phrase which translates "I am a telemarketer".  Goodbye, blocked their number in google voice.

I'm telling you. I spoke with these idiots twice and told them I am not interested, so now for the past 3 days guess what I get from them? Yeap a call on my business phone and they hang up as soon as I ans. (SUCH LOSERS.)  Seriously I'm not trying to be all that, but these people probably can't hold down real jobs, so they attempt this Google Scam and can't do it right. TRASH.....................

Same script....may I speak to the owner....in broken English.   Then I asked what service I could provide for her.....   then she went into the script....     I just hung up on them.    they called me on my prepaid phone...cost me for each minute.

After 4 calls I told this person that my bs level had been exceeded and which part of I don't want to talk to you don't you understand and he asked me why am I acting like a dummy    
If this is the way they prescreen you, imagine how they will treat your business

There is a large pool of these idiots who apparently are unqualified for any legitimate employment. I'm actually not mad at them. I pity them, but not enough not to try and stop them.

They called, an actual person on the line and spoke perfect English "I need to speak to the owner".
I replied "The owner doesn't accept telemarketing calls"...that ended the conversation.

What's the difference between a thief and a telemarketer targeting businesses?
Both take money out of your pocket, but telemarketing that targets businesses isn't illegal - though it should be.
Considering the cost and loss of productivity for small business owners to field inbound marketing calls, I suspect the only reason it's not illegal is that lobbyists greased the palms of legislators.

Seriously - if I needed your product or service, it's not like I'm going to sit by the phone waiting for some random vendor to convince me they have just what I need. Sorry...no morons here.

My friend asked me to check out a number that just called her. I said "so what?". She asked me to google it, so I did and it offered me this site. I never knew people could get so upset about these kinds of calls...why?

And why so condescending toward the people who do these jobs? They are people too, maybe just not as educated or fortunate as some of us, but they are still people.

Why get so worked up about these calls? Have they done you any harm? Just hang up or ignore the hang-ups. We all know about telemarketers and it's unlikely they will disappear in our lifetime. In the long-run of life, this is N O T H I N G.

As a former employer of mind used to say "Don't sweat the petty stuff, pet the sweaty stuff." Next time, I say no to checking out a number...this is stupid.
