Got a call from this number pretending to be Bank of America wanting our social security number.

Got a text stating call MasterCard. Ummm no-that's not how that works

Just got a text from this number also to call Mastercard. Text says it is from 513238736@verizon.net. Missing a digit thieves! I  have cell service through Verizon and my cell begins with 513238.

Got a text from some version of ######@verizon.net to contact this number. A whole 5 second search on google and you bet that was deleted so fast!

Same text asking to call- machine asked for 9 digit SSN, came from 513238736@verizon.net

i just got the same text message from 541-697-2020 stating (Contact-Mastercard) 12:05 on 8/5/14

I got a text from the same number 541-697-2020 to (call-master card). 8/5/14

Same scenario.  Called Master Card, no problems there.  Obvious from these posts it is a fraud attempt.  First 6 digits match mine.

Same text as others. Matched the first 6 of my phone number. Must be a scam.

same number and message also sent it to the rest of the phones on My Verizon account

Received the text message instructing me to contact Mastercard 541-697-2020. Asks for SS #.

I contacted my Mastercard provider to let them know about the fraud. They appreciated the heads up. I recommend you call your card company too.

Received text saying it was from mastercard

Received text saying it was MasterCard.  Called back and they ask for social security number to validate your account.  

received the same message and wanted my ss#..I don't think so!! I hung up!!

Received text message 3 hours ago saying (Contact-Mastercard) Call (541) 697-2020. I was driving so my husband read the message and called with the phone on speaker phone. The computerized voice said there was a technical issue with my Master Card and I needed to complete the identity verification process. They asked for my SS#. Thinking it was about an online purchase we had made yesterday he did put my SS# in, but then when I heard they wanted my Master Card # I told him to hang up so I could make sure things were legit. I'm mad my SS# was typed in. Hopefully they will not be able to access any of my information.

Just got a text from BOA to call 541-697-2020

Got a text from 615308###@verizon.net (Contact B O A) (541) 697-2020. Never had a Bank of America account. Has to be a scam. Sad thing is I just re-entered my phone number on the national do not call registry and since then have received more fraudulent calls and texts than ever before.
