More than one call made by a collection agency to a third person violates Federal law. They are permitted to call you once to ask for location information (home address, phone number, and/or place of employment) of the person in question.
The collection agency is not permitted to call a third party more than once, unless it REASONABLY believes that the information that you gave was in error or incomplete AND that you now have new information. Collection agencies try to stretch this one to the limit.
Also, if you ask, the caller must give his/her name and the name of the company. However, unless you are the party in question, s/he is not permitted to mention that the call relates to debt collection or to mention that they are a collection agency. If this group has called more than once, it may provide grounds for a lawsuit, which costs should be recovered from the defendant.
For the alleged debtor: if you give them the name of your attorney, they are not allowed to contact you further. I once had a problem with an agency calling on my adult daughter's medical bills. The caller would not believe that my daughter did not live with me and when I gave him the name of her disability attorney, he wouldn't accept it and kept harassing me. A call to the head of the firm and quoting the referenced law stopped that!
Also, they are not permitted to call after 8 pm, your time. Nor, if you notify them in writing (and they must provide you with the address when asked!) that you do not wish them to call, they MUST NOT.
There is more info on how, when and where they are permitted to call. Deceptive practices not allowed! (

I hope that they get sued and lose! They are a company without a modicum of decency.
