- Wayne HReceived a call from this number 543-464-7654 on my home phone. At the same time my cell phone rang and it was from a local number 229-329-8412. These both are scammers. I do not know if both numbers are from the same people but it seemed highly coincidental that would ring at same time.

- MoGilb replies to Mike| 1 replyThis is really not a new scam; they've been calling my number - over time, for at least 2 years, but I do know how they work!
These folks are scammers and most of them are calling from India! They inform you that they are working for Microsoft and they're getting information that there is a problem with your computer! They try to get you to go to your computer and enter certain information and/or allow them to remotely access your computer (WHICH IS A BIG MISTAKE IF YOU DO). By their manipulation - either by you typing certain things or them doing so - you will be informed that there is a major problem and usually to "fix" it, will cost you 400-500 dollars (via credit card - another big NO NO!).
All of this when there is absolutely nothing wrong with your computer! ALSO, they are NOT getting messages/information that your computer is sending them information - IT IS NOT - I used to lead them on and then inform them that I had a Macintosh - I do NOT - and they would get angry and hang up! The last time I told them that, they now have an answer for Mac's, so that doesn't work now!
However, they are only calling you at random with robo-caller technology; they can not see that your computer is sending them information, and they will take your money if you allow them to do so. The best policy is to hang up and if they call again, hang up again; once they realize you will not be playing by their rules, they will stop. But, don't be surprised if somewhere down the road you receive the same type of call; some of them can be relentless! And, oh yes, once they realize you've wasted their time, some of them will tell you where to go!! - (543) 464-7654This is a scammer number. They are tying to remotely access your computer. Do not allow it. Reporting to FTC.

- BetsyI received a phone call @ about 8:30pm from this number. The person said they were calling about a problem with the Windows application on my computer. I am aware this is a scam so told the caller I have no problem with my computer and hung up the phone.
- Caller: Unknow
- Sandra JaroI reviewed several calls from this #. I didn't answer them at first but thought if I answered and told them to stop calling they would. I answered today 3/31/15 and they had an Indian or Asian accent which made them hard to understand. They said they were from Windows Technical dept and that my computer needed them to make some updates in it. I told them no that I had a new computer and it was up to date. He said that he knew I had a new computer but I needed to go to the computer and type in what he told me to. (I did not have a new computer) I said that my computer technician would take care of any problem when he did his regular maintenance on it. Then I hung up. No telling how many older people who aren't as aware of these scams are being bilked out of money thanks to these no good, thieving, scum bags who aren't willing to earn their money the old fashioned, honest way by getting a job!! Isn't there something we can do about these people???
