I had several calls from this number last week and they left no message. Finally I answered last Tuesday and the woman said she was calling because I previously owned a '97 Kia Sephia and I'm entitled to money from a class action lawsuit. She wanted to verify my address and said they'll be sending a postcard and I will receive a check in 2 weeks. I'm skeptical. I have tried to call back several times, and no one answered.

I have been receiving calls from this number fora 3 days now and there are no messages left.  i tried calling back and there is no answer.

I've been receiving calls from this number 3 to 4 time a day for about a month now. Each time I've answered the call, they would hang up. Today, someone finally stayed on the line and started asking if someone I don't know was there and announced they were calling from Accutrac (a collections agency). The representative was then stupid enough to inform me they were calling about a default on student loans for this person that I don't know...It's illegal for a collections agency to discuss anything what so ever with anyone other than the intended person that is in default. Well I will be placing a complaint with the BBB over Accutrac's business practices. If they don't know what their doing or allowed to do then they don't need to be in business as a collections agency.

This is a collection agency.  They are breaking the law under the FDCPA which entitles everyone $1000 they call.

Calling saying they are "Data Verification", when I asked who they were representing, who are they verifying data for, she said that they work for various companies to verify data.  Sounds suspicious, as they did not say their company name or the purpose of this "data verification" and gave ambigous answers to specific questions.

It's amazing how these companies have the nerve to call as a third party to see if you were still doing business with another company.  This was the second call.  I did not answer the third.  I don't care what I have to do to find out who these people are I will do it.  It's time our elected officials and the BBB start stepping in with all of this stuff.  It is illegal.  I wonder how much they pay their people to call others and then ruin their lives.

Same here, they called asked to verify if it was the best contact number. I asked several questions about what type of companies they verify for and they could not answer. so I asked them to remove me.

Got a call from 551-226-5549 and 551-226-5548, no messages left. I called back and they said they were a "data validation" company and that they wanted to  know if the number they dialed belonged to me. ( they had my name and cell phone.) I didn't confirm. I just asked them to stop calling. I should have blocked my number before calling them back.

I think they were phishing.

They are owned by a company called Accutrac out of indiana, they are a debt collection company for sure.

Accutrac are liars...they called my "employer" to verify my employment. Why? My employer is smarter than that and did not give ANY information.

They are a collection agency and WILL lie cheat and steal for money. Do not give out any information.

Your employer would need a court order to give out your PRIVATE information. These jokers do not want to pay attorneys fees.

It's a scam to collect very old debt.

calls started about 6 or so months ago, then ended, now starting up again, daily.  201-942-5755, 201-942-5566 and 201-942-5847. I finally answered today, they asked for me and I said it wasn't who they were looking for. told them calls going on for a year and to remove my name.  They asked if I knew the person they were looking for, said no..they said they were doing "data verification"

Called my work wanting to verify employment.  I told them they would need to send a fax asking for verification for the person they wanted to verify.  I received a fax with their company name Accutrac wanting to know employment date, and so forth.  I did not give them that information and trashed their fax.

They texted looking for somebody named Tony claiming to be someone named Tonya. I said they got the wrong number and they followed it up with a "hey long time no see" and naked images
