555-555-1212

I receive an average of 20 unsolicited calls in an average day. Only rarely do i answer numbers I don't recognise. Over the past month I have been getting calls from: 555-555-1212 as much as 2/3 times a day. The number looks bogus, just like 123-456-7891, which also calls more than once per day.

I picked up, and it was the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario trying to recruit door-to-door canvassers for Heart and Stroke Month.  I asked about the odd area code and she knew absolutely nothing about it.  I think she said she was calling from the Ottawa area.

That's so odd! Starting about 5 - 7 days ago I started getting calls from this number as well, 4 -5 times per day. It was interesting to find this site and read others comments.

I receive at least 5 or more calls a day from 555-555-1212.  I never pick it up since I don't recognize the number. Who are these calls from?

Dorothy called me to ask me if I could help her find her way back to Kansas. She said she got my number from yellowpages.com. I told her she was stupid and to call a local hotel. Geez!

Identified themselves as Allied International calling on a private matter.

This is a 'toll' number that PC Financial Master Card Collections Dept. uses.  This number as well as a couple other ones they use to contact when your account is even 1 day overdue as was mine. I received about 5 calls from them in one day alone. I was not answering them as I feel that my account being late one day does not mean that I'm delinquent, especially when I always pay my bill on time and more than the required amount. Legally, they are not allowed to call you any more than 3 times in a 7 day period. They call at all hours of the day and evening and leave automated messages. If they are calling you more than the legally acceptable amount, make a complaint to the Ministry with the times and number they called from. The Ministry is required to investigate all complaints and the company they are investigating are required to answer to them and could face fines or a loss of their license.

I received a call from this number. The lady on the other end informed me she was calling from PC Financial MasterCard and wanted to confirm some personal information. I refused to give it to her because I didnt know who she was.

I've been getting these calls at least 2-3 times a day  for the past month  weird number so I refuse to answer.

I have recieived six calls from 555-555-1212 and 888-598-32693 this week alone.  I am in a huge struggle with these people from PC Master Card over a twenty dollar charge on my account.  They are threatening my credit rating even though the account has been closed for over four(4) months.  I would like to know what "Ministry" I can make formal complaint to in (Canada).  Thank you for being here!!!!!

I keep getting calls from this number also. Every morning at around the same time. Very aggravating.

Keep calling my office 5-8 times a day looking for a former employee. Even after I informed them that he no longer works here, they still keep calling! The last guy who called started laughing at me when I informed him to  either stop calling, or I would seek legal counsel.

These fkn people keep calling and asking for someone that has an account with them owes them money and had this phone number a year ago. And will not stop even after they were told that a person does`n own this number any more
