called my 84 yr old mother saying he was her grandson stranded in mexico due to car crash needed $800. sent to him through wallmart or her computer she said she didn't know how he said go to your computer I can walk you through it. Luckily she had just gotten out of hospital and was too sick to do it. Total scam her grandson was at home.

Called said he was grandson in jail in Mexico ,bad car crash needs money

At roughly 9:14am my 77 yr old grandmother received a call from this number saying it was her grandson in a Mexican jail and he needed bail money. He asked her to keep it between them. Needless to say he was not in jail and she reported this number to the local police. This is the second time someone has tried scamming her this way and luckily she never does what they ask.

received a call supposedly from my grandson from Mexico needing money to get out of jail..I knew it wasn't my grandson, one of them is only 4 yrs. old and the other three all are at work today..I did not do anything since I know it is a scam.

Man said he as my 17 yr old son called my parents and said he was in a accident and needed money to be bailed out of a jail in Mexico .unfortunately they got 900 dollars out of my parents. # they called from is 556-804-9162 horrible thing to do to grandparents hope western union and money gram can figure a way to help those who were scamed

The lost relative scam's been around a while, sad, but true. Don't be surprised at anything said, done, or tried by these clowns. Anything to cheat and steal from the public. As for Western Union, or MG helping the victims, not likely.
