i can't take this calls anymore,they call morning-day-night

They just called me at 8:49 am Eastern time. It'd be only 5:49 am PST.

called the number back and it said it was a warranty company

They just called me, 11.25 am.

Called and would not identify their business .

Call from this number, answered: Dead silence. Hung up. Called the number back, again silence and then they disconnected. I'm like most of you and am on the DNC list but it doesn't make any difference. REALLY annoying is the fact that, a) the phone company doesn't give a damn and allows these crooks to continue to call. I mean after all, the jerks are paying their phone bill aren't they so why should AT&T care? b) Despite being on the DNC, they don't seem to care either. The Do Not Call list is a joke because the feds don't care as long as they are getting their tax dollars from these scammers AND AT&T. I guess it's going to take a hoard of (expensive) lawyers to file class actions suits against every single one of these violators, but that's the way it works folks, the lawyers, the criminals and the feds make their money and to HELL with you and I who pay our bills and our taxes. It's out of control and if something isn't done, there WILL be repercussions, hopefully against our legislators who, strangely enough, have exempted themselves the the DNC guidelines. I call them "guidelines" because by all appearances they sure aren't laws.

NAD just called the business.  Dead silence, then click.  I wonder if they record your business name when you answer and then resell it to telemarketers. Whey would they not say anything and then hang up?

They called me today and it was a dead call.  I *69 and got some guy saying it was about credit card services.  Not rate reduction but for businesses to use credit cards?  I told him why in the hell would I need his services?  I don't process credit cards.  He wouldn't shut up.  I yelled at him and hung up in disgust.  Yes, I am on the do not call list and this is going into the FTC data base complaints.  If EVERYONE complained up to say several million calls, some action might get done.  They must have a very high dead call number or abandoned call number.  Great way to do business.  Irritate your customer.  How many of you that got called have a home business?  Just wondering where they are getting their call list from.

I received this call at my business, girl on the phone wanted to speak to who processes our credit cards.  She would not say her company name because I told her that no one was available to talk to her about it.

This telemarketing scum called here today.  We have a new policy (ok, it took us time to wake up) where any call that comes in with one ring becomes an automatic blocked number.  They call back and get a Disconnected Number message.  This works for that one number, but unfortunately, they are maggots, who breed and multiply overnight in trash cans and back alleys.  To counter this, I have set our incoming lines to block all incoming calls that only result in one ring.  The number of maggots we catch with this policy has been utterly amazing.

But here's a story I think all of you will enjoy.  Recently, a one-caller called in, and I didn't get around to setting it for blockage until about an hour later.  When they called back and offered Credit Card Processing services, I immediately told them I was interested because our company processes about $10M a month and we're unhappy with our processor.  The excitement in the maggot's voice was sheer beauty, as he believed he had struck upon the big fish.

Then when we got to the part about asking who our company is (and our address) I asked him if he didn't know who we were, then how did he get our number.  Then I asked him to hold, shuffled some papers on my desk and told him he called earlier with only one ring.  He said they do that to confirm that the number is good.  I said well yes, but assuming all of that is true, we can't do business with you.

these maggots have called me 3 times today, on EACH of our lines.  Annoying as crap.  They are just dialing EVERY NUMBER.

They never leave a message . . . just interrupt my zen!

The JERKS hang up on my business answering machine and me when I answer.
