I recieved a phone call from this number. Telling me to call back or have my lawyer call them back immediately or else. Is this a prank?

No it is a scam.  I have contacted the BBB, FTC and Attorney General's office.  I would do the same if I were you as this company had alot of my personal info, like SSN, Bank account number, etc.  They tried telling me I was going to be charged with money laundering, becuase they said I took a payday loan from someplace called US Cash....never heard of them.  He said I would have to pay 8484.87 for my "wrong doings" and that he "might" be able to reverse that if I pay his so-called client 923.00 today.  I told him to f-off and that he was a scammer and I was turning him in for fraud.

Its a major scam i reported it to the local news in Phoenix and they did a report on live news about this and over 100 people came forward with same bull

They called me at work to say they are from the Law Group of California and his name was Franklin Gibson. And that this was a very serious matter that will turn into something major.

This same number called me told me that I too owe this US cash, which I believed because they have all my info, but when they told me that I had to go to court in my state in my town. That wasn't making since and they told me that their childcare taker would watch my child I told them that the devil was a "D" liar. The guys name were Brandon Watson and Adam. I'm suppose to come up with the money in the next 3 hours and call back by the end of the day.

Received call today from this number and Stephen Mcdonald told me I am bein prosecuted Monday.  When I asked what for I was told for a payday loan.  He said they will come and arrest me at work.  Scared me a bit until I smartened up.  He went to talk to his "lawyers" to see if I could pay tomorrow.  After being on hold for 10 mins (just needed to see what else will happen) he wanted me to write a letter with all my banking information, my drivers licences, and state that I will take care of this matter.  Now if they need a letter one should be faxed to me from them but he said they did not have paperwork.  I told him I would get it to him in 20 minutes and that is when I went on line to invesitgate.  One thing I learned is never give out your personal info when someone you dont know asks for it.

this man named alan jackson called me from this number saying a borrowed money from cash usa he had all my info,threatened me i couldnt understand a word he was saying.. He has made me really nervous and is harrassing me ,.... I dont have the money to pay and i told him i dont have that kind of money but he inssisted that i borrow it.. Now if a law suit has been brought against me wouldnt i be summoned by the courts themselves?

What is wrong with these people? They called my house again today, twice. As they wanted you to do. They wanted me to do the same. Except I made like I had the money and I had to write a letter and send a copy of my DL and I could not use MoneyGram. I had to use debit or credit and in the letter I was supposed to put the card number, exp, the person name that it was in and the security code on the back. When I asked him where I was going to court he said in my state in my town. So I asked what town and he stated where I lived, so I laughed at him and he said why are you laughing? I just kept on, didn't make it any better. I guess when we get a courtroom and a jail where I live that's when I'll go to court for something I don't know about.

I was scared to crying, the whole nine, because I never been in trouble. I called my dad, and he told me to look the up online and that's when I found this page to no that I wasn't the only one they had called.

I too received a call from them today claiming the same thing. I figured out in 5 min. that this must be a scam, however, I am concerned how they obtained personal information on me. He told me he was the paralegal from the Law Offices of California representing U.S. cash payday loan. If he is asking about whether I have an attorney, then why aren't their attorney calling me. Unless you have been officially summoned to go to court by a sheriff or notice from your state's court, no one can just call you and tell you that you have a court date. I will be reporting this number and i advise you all do so as well check your credit report for any inconsistencies or recent requests.

I got 2 calls back to back at work.. one I answered the second I didn't .. they do this every 4 or 5 months or so... total scam.. will cuss you if you don't give in

I just received a call from 559-823-5337 and they said that I have a payday loan and I need to pay it and I hung up the phone and he called right back and I told him it was a scam and he said how do I know that and I hung up the phone

So what are you suppose to do when they wont stop calling your cell phone and work phone?! I have told them several times its a scam and to leave me alone but they wont!!!

Seriously, DO NOT give these people money.  I have been in contact with BB, FTC and Attorney General,and I have done my own research. Looks to me like these people change their numbers alot, location alot, etc.  The guy I talked to was called "Jack Lawson" He had a very thick foreign accent, could hardly understand him, with the exception of the fact that he said I was being picked up on Monday for money laundering.  I knew it was a scam when one person I talked to said this Jack guy was a police officer, and then he intorduced himself as a paralegal for Law group of california.  This group has an F rating on BBB, and the BBB has also posted warnings to consumers about this company.  HELLO dumb foreign people, if you are in trouble for money laundering, they dont give you a "courtesy" call before they come arrest you!  They just take you away as soon as you can be found! Also, wouldn't someone remember getting $8000 from a company.  These people are idiots....DO NOT fall for this scam!  They can't put you in jail.  If anything, they are going to jail!!

This same person called me as well and it is consider harrass when tell them to stop calling. the continue to call and get cussed out. I also block the number and they keep calling me

This is a complete scam.  Last week the guy called from 505-807-2770 Los Lunas, NM, now this week in Orange Cove, CA 559-823-5337.

I got a call from 559-823-5337 stating that me or my lawyer better call back right away or they'll feel sorry for me. I called back got a lady she said that i was going to be arrested tomorrow at work, i told her to send me the paper work she said she couldn't because there isn't any, so i said what are you reading from she said i don't have to answer any of your question. So, i then told do not call my job she said they were allowed to do anything they wanted to do is said i don't think you want to do that because i have already informed my employer of your scam and they will report you she then said they do not have the authority to do anything. So, i then asked for her law firms physical address she would not give it to me so then i just hung up.

These people got my number somehow and are calling me at home and work.  I'm saving all their voicemails.  I don't answer the calls after reading what everyone here has been going through.  This guy with a foreign accent is leaving me messages about the same as with everyone else; he wants to know if I have an attorney and making threats.  So far, he used two different names; today he was James Anderson.

Some Iranian keeps calling my work saying i need to get an attorney. I just yell at him and tell him to go back to his country!!!!
