Received a call from Steve Montes regarding enforcement actions against us executed by us treasury. He says to cooperate with him from the US Treasury. Ignoring this call and could cause us to appear before a Mandrate judge. They advised us to call back or actions would be taken against us.

Same scam, same group of people, they just changed their phone number. I played along last time they called and they wanted me to wire them cash through Walmart / Western Union money transfer out of the country. When the man figured out I was playing along he started cusing at me until I hung up. Two part scam, if you call back they say police are coming to arrest you and hang up, then after they tried to scare you they call back again a week or so later to try and settle for cash before the say another police office will return to put you in jail. This scare tactic repeats until they think you will send them an out of the country wire transfer or let them know you're aware of the scam.

Received two calls from "Steve Martin" (obvious south Indian accent). Same message as reported before. He asked me to identify myself and when I said I would not until I knew what the call was about, he hung up.

Same thing here, received a call from a David Williams (with an Indian accent) saying that IRS agents were going to arrest me for something he couldn't explain.  I played along for a few minutes and then told him that I work for the IRS.  At which point he disconnected the line.  Called back got him again asked him which country is he operating out of.  Hung up.  Then blocked my number from calling him.

Same thing, but I wasn't home to receive the message so the man with the Indian accent left a message on my machine. I knew it was a scam as soon as I heard the first sentence, so I hit delete. Maybe I should have listened to the rest of his speech, for entertainment purposes.

BTW, why isn't there a "Scam" selection for the call type? Closest I could come up with was "Prank," but that's not quite it, is it?

Ditto. Accent difficult to understand, thought his name was Steve Martin. Something about enforcement action for the US Treasury. Demanded we stop ignoring calls so he could help us. Never identified which "office" he was calling from.
