Me too, this # just responded to an add I had. Not calling it or txting it.

This number also called me for an ad on craigslist for a motorcycle, it seemed suspicious cause the email asked for my personal email and for me to text them at that number rather than really show any interest. It isn't a very smart scammer I'd say.

I mean they emailed me with this number.

This number replied back to a craigslist ad i posted and asked the same thing about me giving him my personal email and texting him on the phone.  Also, he said he was in military and that his name was Jason.  Big scammer who never intends to purchase anything just steal money from you via western union.  If he mentions western union its definitely him.

Yes this personby the name of Jason Oswalt also emailed me and text about a vehicle I had posted on craiglist, He sent me an e-mail that was very convincing and looked like an official paypal document very professional showing the amount of dollars posted to my accountt. I was to send $1000.00 to a Cathy Schwab 64 Baseline Street Northville Michigan 48167.  The money so was supposed to go thru Western Union. I found out about the plot when went on line into my account and saw that there was no monies deposited by this character.  Once I paid Western Union with the $100.00 that he so genoursly deposited along with th asking price and sent them a MTCN number the funds would be released.

I too got and email from Jason regarding a vehicle I listed on craigslist. Glad I checked here first. Also beware of calls from Las Vegas

I was scammed by the same guy who said he was in the Navy purchasing my Ice House for $3000 for his son. His phone number is 559-997-6498. He wanted me to send $950 to his contact by the name of Cathy Schwab. And then I would recieve my money. Im going to contact the police.

His PayPal name was Caleb Johnson but he used the initials JC when texting me.

Got text from 559-997-6498 wanted my truck from Craig's list add then mentioned his agent wanted paid via western union, found many threads about J C on this site. I did not bite, and told him to f---k off.
Beware of this number. When called, it goes to Google and is unavailable to in coming calls...
Don't fall for this BS. you've been warned.

Western Union - The words "Western Union" were used for a business transaction. This is #1 on the scam hit parade. #2- 3rd party shipping. #3- A Craigslist sale, but the buyer isn't local.

He emailed me too. I fell for it and texted him. Im in Oregon

Contacted me to purchase a minivan from Craigslist.  Wanted it for son  Was to pay with PayPal.

I got a reply from him from a Craigs List ad I ran for a Motorcycle. Wanted me to text him at this number. Get lots of this, just replied through Craigs List and said that the bike was available. Hate these sleaseballs...

The same subject Jason Oswalt contacted me in regards to the sale of a trailer I had posted on craigslist. He contacted me thru my email, Requested I send wire transfers to his shipper in PA also used a spoof email from Paypal stating my funds would be deposited after I provided him with the MTCN number. Like an idiot I fell for it. He also was buying this for his son. I have reported him to the FBI, local police, Western Union and to Paypal. I am sure I am out the funds spent.

He contacted me about an ad on Craig's list for a motorcycle. He wanted it for his son. He wanted me to prepay for his agent to schedule a pickup. I was to send funds through western union. I done some research before I did anything else.  His name is Jason Oswalt. I sent him an email to no longer contact me.

I posted a truck for sale for a friend, he did the same thing as above listed.  Wanted to purchase truck TODAY and have his agent pick it up for his son.  We did exchange a few emails, then I did some research and found this, so apparently............. he's baaaaaaaaaaaaack!

I researched this and  Jason Oswalt  is a scammer.  He stated he is in the Naval Air Station at Lemoore, Ca.  interested in purchasing my vehicle and has an agent who will handle the shipment.  Don't fall for this.

Jason Oswalt tried this scam with me too.  I listed a motorcycle on craigslist.   This
is the second email i received from him:
