11:30 AM on Saturday. I didn't answer the caller hung up.

Call Received Jan.21, 2008 at 8:00PM. I nswered the call, could hear someone on there and then they hung up. Called the number and a recording of no such number. Sounds like a scam. I am also on the No call list.

It is the Police Benevolant Association or some one possibly acting as them!! I called them and found out.

Received a phone call from someone that said they were calling for the Palm Beach County (FL) Police Benevolent Association. Said he "wanted to mail my wife and I a sticker" for the annual fund drive. When I told them I would look at anything he sent via mail but did not do phone donations he said "you don't & hung up.

Turns out that this is a marketing association - DO NOT fall for this scam.......

They keep calling every day, it is the PBO from PALM BEACH.  They don't give up and are a pest.

I am getting a call from this number everyday, sometimes more than once. If I do pick up, they hang up.  I am also on the No Call List.

I have had the police benevolent  association call me evety day for about 10 days, I have blicked all the previous numbers, they call back from new numbers everyday. I am filing a complaint with the FCC. I am on the do not call list. When I told the caller last night he said YOU WON"T give money to YOUR local police !!!!!!!!! and hyng up

I live in Martin County, not Palm Beach. I got a call from 561-296-1970. They hung up immediately.

We are a business and this number keeps calling and hanging up... Getting old!

Like many of you who have posted on here, I have been receiving calls from this Police Benevolent Assoc. for over a year from different phone #'s. Two weeks ago they called and I requested them to take me off their call list. Noon time today they called again!

I keep on getting calls from these humps. They change the numbers, so I don't answer anything that starts with a 296.
I answered once and told them the truth - my husband had been laid off and was only receiving unemployment benefits, which you know is not near what his salary was, and we could not afford to give them any donation, and the guy said OK. They stopped for 2 months  and then it started all over again.
These men are brutal, OVERLY aggressive, hostile, and just plain nasty.
I am on the 2 DNC Lists - it doesn't seem to matter.
They harass you saying how you don't care about the police that protect you every day and on and on, yet this organization is not even connected to the police. Check them out online for yourself.

get them from 561-296-1944, 1945, 1955 & 1970; same thing every time, UNKNOWN NAME every time. Usually they just hang up, last time they asked for my wife. Has to be a scam or someone looking to gather information.

I didn't know the # so I let the answer machine pick up.
Some guy made some stupid, annoying,beeping noises and hung up.

Received a call from 561-296-1970.   Caller id said 'West Palm Be FL'.  It was the Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association  (http://pbcpba.org/) which is a law enforcement union.  

They call from several 296 numbers every day  I have asked several times to be taken off the list. I live in St Lucie Co.  Tonight I answered  said he wanted to send me an envelope for my $15  for St Lucie kids I said I thought the number was from the West Palm Beach PBA. He said oh that is the main office  I told him he ought to send me $50 for constant harassment. He said if I send $15 , the calls will stop until next year.  FCC to be made aware.  Sounds like extortion to me. Answerer beware!!!!! Makes good cops, which I know many, look bad!!!!
