Called and left no message... maybe some new sort of scam?

These calls are from the American Homeless Veterans Assn.

It's got to be a scam. They say they are a charity and perhaps they are, but they hire people for multiple charities? I don't know, but when I finally got someone to talk they just said "We're a charity" but couldn't tell me which one. Suspicious? Yes!

When I answered, there was a 2 second delay as most telemarking places have. When the delay was over, there was a woman giggling and finally asked for a 'Mr. Darling'. When I said wrong number, she then asked for a 'Kelly'. After telling her she had the wrong number again, she hung up.

They called at 8:55 PM. Caller ID showed the number and also "Avalon". There was no answer and they hung up after a few seconds.

Get calls from Avalon every week....never answer.

i receive calls at least twice a day. i answer and they do not respond. i am on a no call list! i want this to stop.

caller wanted a donation for homeless vets..minimum of 200 or even 15 dollars..we are on a do not call list..so much for that..caller id said avalon too.

Called at 12:30P today.  ID said 'Avalon' and 'Erica' kept asking for Paul.  I kept asking who was calling and she said she could only talk to Paul.  Told her to never call again and hung up.

keep calling won't say anything when I answer. I'm on donot call list but it seems to do no good.  I'm handicapped and if I'm away from phone it's painful to race to get it. I would appreciate if theu wouldn't call.  They have nothing I need or want and I  give to the charities I choose.

Got a call about 6:20 PM. I answered, and after a brief silence I heard someone say "hello", so I said hello back. Then they hung up. Caller ID said "Avalon".

get 2-3 calls/day..caller ID reads AVALON, never leaves message...we're on DNC list as well...

How can you get them to stop?  I blocked the number, but it's still irritating!

Please help the Homeless Veterns she said... $200, $100, $50 ... When I asked her if she could send me something in the mail in order to check out this charity.  She said they'd send me a receipt.
How about $25... I hung up.

So, I received a call from 561-404-2382 at 9:31 this morning. Nobody was there, so I just set the phone down and didn't hang up. At this time 10:09, the call is still connected or at least my end hasn't hung up and I haven't received that "Your phone is off the hook" annoying sound. I hope it sits all day and runs up a major bill on their end. I advise you all to do the same.

Call after call from Avalon, but no one answers and I am tired of it.
