Caller identified himself as Jake Stewart, with the Riviera Beach Police Department looking for business sponsors to be featured in ads for an upcoming annual Comedy Show fundraiser, supporting fallen/injured officers. Caller could not provide me a website, a flyer or anything promoting the fundraiser. -Which he also mentioned was a privately held fundraiser, not open to the public.... hmm. So youre trying to raise money by closing an event off to the public.. doesnt seem too logical. So I called the Riviera Beach Police Dept. - they have no one named Jake Stewarts there, and they have never heard of this comedy fundraiser, nor do they have any upcoming fundraisers. I ran a reverse phone number search and it seems this "scam" was attempted by a "Stuart Jacobs" last year... So youve gone from Stuart Jacobs to Jake Stewart.. quite the clever one, you are!

I'd call the cops back and let them know this is ongoing because they won't appreciate being used like that! This person is despicable at best for using injured public servants as a front for their scam!

Nope, he's back to Stuart Jacobs, he just called and left me a message. This guy tried calling every day last year before finally giving up. It appears as if he's back round his list again.

Yeah he called me and said his name is Dennis Brown. What a jerk. Wish I could put a hot iron in his mouth.

9/10/14. Just had a message to call an Ed Brady back at this same number.
I called them back and received a run around from a man who wouldn't give a name but identified the number as relating to many businesses. When I finally asked for Ed Brady he immediately said he would get him and put me on hold.  The a man claiming to be Ed Brady came on the line and began asking me what business I was with. The emphasis here is that they never answer any questions and are always pushing questions for you to answer.  Eventually he began the line once I gave affirmation of my business name which has not been active for over 15 years. He claims he is with the Boynton Beach Police FOP and poise soliciting for a function being held in Dcember. I asked if he was with the Boynton Police FOP and he said yes.  Hmmm, interesting as the first guy said that they were connected to many businesses.
I have called Bounton PD and the investigation is on going.

Stuart Jacob is a scam artist calling to say he represent the Local Fraternal Order of Police. Asking for donations - calls every day even when requested not too.


I suggest he go to Wallmart and buy a new life or get a real job that doesn't involve harassing people who are trying to work.

Got a similar call but from Frank Grant 561-432-8377. Raising money for a children event then changed the pitch to an event for the deputy sheriffs.

John Duffy - called from this number 561-432-8377 and asked for my employer, who was not in the office. He did not offer any company, which is usually my 1st tip off that something fishy is going on, so I took a message and looked up the number.

Just got the Call from John Duffy who claimed to be with the Jupiter Police Dept FOP. Asked for my employer and would not offer any details as to why he was calling.
When I called the number back they answered the phone "how may I help you?"

He called me as John Duffy everyday for a month. He also called last year and he sent me paperwork showing as "proof" of the event.

We almost donated until he started saying there was no deadline and we looked up "The Fraternal Order Of Police Lodge 26" and they do not exist.

Frank Grant called my office as well looking for my boss, said it was personal. he is rude and a scammer !!!!

Caller named Roy Williams asked for me, would not give any details as to why he called me
