I don't know who this is...don't know anyone in that area

I received a call on my cell phone from this number.  I do not know anyone in that area.  I couldn't call them back from my cell, so I tried from my home phone.  All the person would tell me was that I was calling "Customer Service", and when I tried asking what company I had called (because, who knows, maybe it had been a valid call) the man told me not to call them back!  They are the ones that called me to begin with!!

There's no such thing as a "new number".  Your new number is someone else's old number.  They may have gotten rid of it as recently as 3 weeks ago.  They may have changed numbers to escape from bill collectors and other pests.

Your calls are from the pests looking for the person who had your number before you got it.
