561-692-4232 Belle Glade, FL - called at approximately 3:31PM today April 29, 2015, did not leave a message, attempted to call back and number  not in service. Constant telemarketers from Florida. Report them constantly.

I am on the DO NOT CALL list. Isn't that a law violation?

The do not call list has never worked correctly.

I called this number using *67. Says it's a non working number.

Hey everyone, they are mostly scammers, they think us American's are easy targets and are all rich! there are so many different ways they try to get our $$ it's crazy! Or they are trying to get personal information so they can "hack" you...I never answer. These people are "outside" of the law doesn't matter if you are on the DNC list! They buy up a block of phone #'s from what ever state and use those to call you through....They can be from Africa (is the biggest one) then other countries... Don't be a target...warn your friends and family...the newest scam is they call and say they are the IRS and you owe them Big $$ and if you don't go to the currency exchange and or wire them money you will be arrested...Please tell your family especially older people get scammed easily because they are so trusting! Get the Word out we are not "Stupid Americans"!!!!

cindy s. is right in above comment.Only in America can us citizens be in violation of breaking the law, these scumbag scammers from other countries can block , scam, the DNC list is worthless .I "d be willing to bet the way things are going in this country it wont be long and our government will find a way for us to pay for the DNC list useage and the scammers will probably get incentives for it. If states are selling blocks of phone #"s they are the ones who should be targeted for the sale of them and let them put up with all the crap that's out there. just saying

Exactly how is the DNC list worthless?

Legitimate telemarketers use it to prevent calls to registrants.  Just think - if there were no such list, you would be getting calls from BOTH legitimate and scam "telemarketers".

The DNC list is NOT a call blocker! If you thought it was, you are very much mistaken.

The DNC list does not apply to charities, political calls, surveys, debt collectors or companies with which you did business in the last 18 months.

The DNC list is ignored by spammers and scammers, and those criminals usually use VOIP or burner phones, and cannot be easily traced.  Kristi Thompson of the FCC explained that it can take her anywhere from five to ten subpoenas to trace a single robocall back to its origin

Is there ANY law that is 100% effective in preventing criminals from disobeying it?

The FTC penalizes organizations located in the USA that violate DNC provisions, but only if those organizations are identified!  Have you done your part to identify your callers?

The DNC organization does not sell its list to non-registered telemarketers.

All this information, and more, is available on the DNC site, for those who have the cerebral capacity to read and understand.  Apparently you do not qualify, but prefer to mislabel things that you do not understand.

If you want more protection than provided by the DNC list, get a call blocker app, device, or service, and learn how to use it correctly.  Try a little self-responsibility!

It's not even a real thing. So if you pay for it you are being scammed. People made up the dnc list to say to telemarketers so they don't call back. But there is no such thing. Especially business to business. You can ask to be on their own companies do not call list but there is no such thing nationally . A do not call list is unamerican. We are capitalists and you can't  make laws against people who are trying to make a living. That is against our constitution. Sorry people just have to deal with it. It's not even s big deal.  Just don't pick up numbers you don't know and then just forget about it. You are wasting time worrying and posting about telemarketers   Easy solution don't pick up

It won't stop automated robo calls that basically dial every number combination but it "should" stop some calls.

Received a call from this number. They left no message. I called back says number is a non working number.

That's why more than half of our laws are useless and basically hard to enforce. I call many laws "feel good laws" because they make the people who cry the most about something feel good when a law is passed to bad that certain action. Little do they ever know there is little enforcement that goes with it and on top of that a sorry state of remedies. One thing, sometimes, these laws shut up the cry babies that whined in the first place.

One blaring example is Driving While Drunk or Intoxicated. At first a cop was kind of trained to determine you were drunk. Then along came the breathalyzer test after you were hauled in under suspicion of being drunk. The limit was .18 then through the years .15, .12 and now .08%. Have we solved the problem????? Nope!!

We go after drugs and even simple marijuana because those are easy targets. There is no strong union or big money to fight back but there sure is in the liquor industry. Funny no strong union or money to fight for us peons that get out dinner interrupted with useless calls.

Called and left a 2 second message. And there's another number I've blocked.

Caller first thought  my answering machine was a real person. She initially stated  they "will be sending a complimentary gift just for answering these questions" When she realized it was an answering machine she hung up. This must have been a newbie making her first “scam” call!
