i got a call today stating i owe them $5500 they had alot of my information for a loan that i never put out. they said they will have a sheriff come pick me up. i asked for all the documentation and they said they couldn't give it to me. so i told them to do what they have to do. i will be suing them and reporting them to the feds.

they also gave me an account number that was not mine!!! really?????

I recieved a phone call from the same phone number and the guy on the phone stated that his name was Eric Brown and that if I didnt not get back to him they would send a sheriff out to my home. This is not the first time I have recieved phone calls from people like this and I have reported it to the local police and they cannot do anything about it because the phone number is a throw away cell phone!!

I just received a call from this # he is rude- claims his name is Alex Walker states I will be served at work and what is more scary is that he has the last digits of my SS#.

I got the same message,,,guys name was Rob Parker,,,saying I am be sued and wants my lawyer to call,,,,said I better call back. Well I did but blocked my phone number,,if there is no # showing when ya call these guys, they do not answer. They are somewhere in Fla. This Rob Parker had an accent,,,Middle East or that area. Funny part is he called my office number and could not even pronounce my last name. Everybody watch these guys,,,seems as if the scam is going full tilt

I just got the same message about 2 hours ago saying his name is Eric Brown and Me or my lawyer had better give him a call back or he could only wish me luck.

Omg that is what they said to me ! They left the message on my home phone ?? There saying I received some loan through cash partner of America ? An I never did other than I noticed someone took 275 dollars from my bank account when the balance was zero ! Now it's negative . I don't even know what to do here ? If someone could give me some advice here it would be sooo helpful !

This is not the first time that we have received a call from this number.  They even went as far as to call my husbands work and got his dispatchers upset.  We called the number back and tried to get information from them.  The people told us that they had no paperwork or anything on the computer that they could send to us.  Only that it concerns an internet payday loan.  When we kept pressing for proof to either to be emailed to us or have it sent to us through the mail, the man we were talking to started to get very rude and threatening.  We contacted our attorney and had them to call and tell them to leave us alone and not to call our home or to call my husbands work.  We just received 2 calls on the same day from this number on Monday.  Be Aware...these people will do anything to try and get your information.  They say they have your personal information, give you your birthdate, last 4 of your social and want to have you pay them from you debit card. Do Not Confirm any information...

There is a lot of info on THIS SCAM under those 2 forums - been ongoing for several years now...

My sister just called me and this number called her at 11:30 today threatening to pick up my brother-in-law at work tomorrow at 11.  He stated his name was Rob Parker and had an accent.  The guy said she took a loan and with the fees and interest now owes $5400.  My sister went straight to the bank and closed her bank account.  The bank said that she has never received this loan.  She then went to the state police, but they could not do anything.  Do not believe this guy!!!  He will call you back once you think about the situation and ask for your debit card number to transfer the funds and cover the balance!!!

I got this call at work as well from Eric Brown stating he was calling from DCA Law office and was calling about a legal matter for me.  I told him I would not discuss any personal matters at work and not to call me there, he wanted to know when I would call him back, I said after 5pm CST, he said that wasn't good enough and I said sorry but that is when i get off work. He gave me a number 561-771-9232 to call him back.  Then about 5 minutes later the same person called back asking for my manager, I answered the phone and told him the manager was gone for the day, he stated his name was Eric Walker from DC Law Office and needed to speak to my manager about a legal matter and needed to fax some paperwork regarding me to my work.  I told him my manager would not be in until tomorrow and could not call him until sometime tomorrow.  He wanted to know what time and I just told him I didn't know what time.  He said just to make sure and have him call back.  I said ok and hung up the phone.  I could hear all these other people in the background talking and giving out the same phone number so I know it is a scam.  I am not going to give them any information.

Did they eventually give up calling cause I reported it to the local authority and they said they couldn't do anything. I'm getting pretty pissed. They said I owe 1400 if I pay today but if not 5000. His name was Jason Kennedy

I received a voice mail on Friday 6/10/11 from a woman that said her name is Nicole Brown and she had an accent. She left a voice mail on my work phone and cell phone. She said she wanted to get my attorney's info because I am being served with papers on Monday 5/13 @ 11am. I called back and was told she was gone for the day but the guy I was speaking to is her supervisor and his name is Eric and that I owed for a payday loan that I never took out. He had my ss#, address, and bank checking acct # and routing #. He couldn't tell me the amount of the original loan or the date of the loan only that it happened in 2010. the checking account number he had happened to be an old one that was already closed. He said he couldn't tell me the collection agency that they supposedly got my info from so I could call & ask for the date of the alleged loan. He said I would owe $5400.37 and that was just the fees and court cost. The amount I owe for the loan is now $1005 with the late fees and NSF fees. He just kept saying I would have the info when I was served at home AND at work on monday. and then he said he would be calling my manager after he got off the phone with me. I told him I am hanging up because he couldn't give me any info. i went to tell my manager and while i was talking to her the guy called me back! i answered the phone and said yes? and he had the NERVE to ask for my manager's name. I said you have where I work and my work number so you figure it out! then he asked what dept i work in and again i said i'm not giving you any info and hung up.

I was at my friend house and they called saying that he owe money. He asked what is the bank or credit card company that he owe the money to and they didn't answer. He asked what is the name of the collection agency and do you guys have an office I can come have a chat with and still no answer. So he hung up.

Now my friend is not an idiot. He pay his bill right on schedule and never pay late. He check his bank, credit card report every month and it show that he owe nothing. So obviously this is a scam.

To everyone that is reading this, the next call you get from these scammer. Record it and put it on youtube and on this site to warn other people about these scamming activity.

I just had a call at work from these people - I spent about 20 minutes on the phone with these scam artists.  They said I had a payday loan that I never paid and that I was going to be arrested and taken to jail tomorrow at my place of work.  He told me that I would lose my job and my credit would be ruined.  He said I owed 1,095.00 for a 200-300 loan from Cash Partners of America between the time period of 2009 to 2010.  I asked for a signed contract and an exact amount that I had borrowed (I have had payday loans before - but NEVER again).  He could not give me any of this information and told me that I should not be asking questions - that I should be grateful that I could discuss this with him.  I asked for the attorney that was going to file the papers and he gave me the name of Richard Ross - I said I wanted to speak to him - he said I could not talk to anyone until after 4:00 EST (after the paperwork had been filed with the court). He said that after 4:00 I could call 561-771-9232 and talk to the attorney and that by that time I would owe $5,484.87 and a sheriff would come to get me in the morning at my place of business.  He said I wasn't listening and that he had given me the information I requested 100 times.  I told him he had not answered my question at all since he could not give me a date that I borrowed the money, a signed contract or an amount.  I told him that my problem with him was that I didn't believe him and that there were so many scams on the internet that I needed proof that he was not scamming me even though he claimed to have information about me.  After he realized that I thought he was scamming me - he told me that he had done all he could for me and that he wished me luck and then hung up on me.  I called the number back and asked for Attorney Ross and first they said "who"?  then they asked who I had spoken with and what my name was . . . I told them I would call back later to speak with Attorney Ross.  They claimed to have an office at 42 Broad Steet, NY, NY 10004 - but the phone number is a Florida number.  I will be blocking this and any other numbers for this company that I can find that have been reported as scams!!!!!!

These people had been calling my boss and my family "stating that I had better call them this is of vital importants, and if I don't call the only thing that she could do is wish me luck .
When I called them they wouldn't tell me what company what is it that  I owe .Finding out company name HPC collection. this number should be blocked

I got a call from Alex Walker from the above number. He told me that I owed Cash Partners of America for a loan I never paid back (and pretty sure I never took out a payday loan with this company before), had a very thick Indian or Middle Eastern accent, and refused to give me any information, and told me I was going to be arrested tomorrow at my place of work because I was "running from the law." Really? LOL!
Pretty much the same story everyone above is stating. I demanded to speak with an attorney, and to speak to someone who speaks better English. I also demanded paperwork, which they would not provide me.
I am calling the police and pressing charges if I can. It is illegal for a "debt collector" to threaten anyone. The address he gave me for his office is actually the address for the Department of Consumer Affairs in New York. When I told him that I was calling the police he hung up.
I also demanded to speak with a supervisor, who stated his name was Chris Lee and pretty much told me the same information that the previous person told me.
Do not give these sheisters any more personal or financial information than they already have.

I got a call from a Nicole Allen threatening me and my job. They would not give me any info. I would like to know how they got this info?
