THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, loan, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, tax reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number,  or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. i clicked the link and it brought me too one of those survey craps.. but i didnt go further then that so if yu'd like to try be my guest! you don't even need to put in the gift code they give you. Either way it sends you to a nationalsurvey site. and no i didnt follow thru to claim any money because i was too CHICKEN to get a virus or even lose my money. HOPE THIS WAS HELPFUL

On our Verizon phone, we have received several calls with phone numbers from other area codes that we don't recognize.  All it's doing is eating up our minutes, and won't let us call it back.  Obviously, this is a scam.

I was looking into some assistance because things have been very rough for me and my family, and when I got a text from: 503-508-9702 saying "thanks 4 visiting our site! Claim ur $100 gift card at getmy100.com or call 1-800-803-9251 with a code, and to reply STOP"  I must admit I was excited.  I didn't think this was a scam because I was on a help website.  No, I never went to any website for this.  I have not responded because I don't want to get scammed and I don't want people calling me back on my cell!!!  Has anyone gotten scammed by this offer?  What happened?

I got a text from (216) 533-1723 saying thanks for visiting our site to get a $100 gift card go to & included a code. I was on the winn - dixie fuel perks web site when this text came on my phone. Lazy as_ people should go out & work instead of trying to steal money from those of us who do work & are looking for ways to save money.
