I received a call saying they are coming to my job to serve me. When I asked what was this concerning, they hung the phone up

harrassing phone calls and strong arming...

i just recieved the same, called my job, and when i attempted to get infomation about the issue, the strong armed and was down right nasty.

scam i called and they would not give any info and just wanted money

Was called by an anonymous number that gave me a file number and 562-265-8814 to call. Was told I would be summoned to court for a credit card that had only a 200 dollar credit limit and had incrued interest over 11 yrs to give me a Grand total of 2526 dollars. They would settle for 700 dollars. I told her to go a head and summon me because I don't own anything. She got irrate and started getting personal bring up my age and other credit that I have gotten recently. Her name was Jennifer. I told her to stop harassing me. That this was my final notice. I believe its a scam!

I received a private call on my cell phone and a man told me that I will be summoned to court but he didn't know for what. He then asked me to call a woman named Mary Lloyd (1-562-265-8814) and he gave me a fake reference number. I called and she told me that I owed money to Capital One Bank. LOL!! I don't think so. Then she was asking me about my social security number. The funny thing was she NEVER got it right! Dumbass woman really thought I was going to give her my social security number and info. I don't think so!! SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a call this morning. Asked for me under my maiden name at an address I had 11 years ago. Jeez get a clue ... my credit report is spotless. I also looked up the address listed here in a previous post. It's an apartment complex. Called the number-they don't even have an 800 number-and Google Voice answered. All signs showing this is not legit. I will report this to the attorney general's office.

"Freddy" must be the person calling.  He/she/it has posted on other sites too.

called 562-265-8814, Mary, put on hold 3 times while she "talked to an attorney", can't tell me what it's about,message state "complaint" in a place I have not lived for 11 years - on hold again. (15 mins on hold so far)finally hung up.
called me back stating  it was from a credit card and when I told her I had no clue what she was talking about she said, "I guess you will get the clue when they serve the paper work"
said it was Graham and Assoc - buy bad debts. Then she hung up on me

Yes, that's what this is, I have done extensive research.  Zombie Debt.  They are buying up OLD charge-offs pennies on the dollar and scaring people into paying. Do your research before you pay. Go to the web & read about it.

Debts are civil and not criminal matters....

if a collection company takes you to court for a dept that has already been paid off, that is fruad, if you want some payback on these crips keep your reciet of offer and payment, do not send them a copy, they already have it. but if they ever show up to court they are lible for damages and are comitting fruad.

I got a call from Henry Reed telling me I was going to be served because I have been sued in Civil Court. He claims I owed Chase Bank from 2005 and it had increased to $16,000.00 but he would take $6,000.00.  I told him to please send me details of what I owe and he wouldn't. I asked him if he expected me to pay that staggering amount on his word that I owe it and he said yes. He became very aggitated and told me he was going to have me served and report me to the IRS for this debt. I told him I need to see something showing me the amount I owe and again he refused. I asked him for an address to put my request in writing and he gave it to me.  I sent a registered letter and have not heard back. (Platinum Partners Assoc. 407 Imperial Hwy H218, Brea, CA 92821.)  I feel bad for the people he scares into paying him.  These are horrible people.

The Mailbox is a service UPS offers, it creates a virtual office address for mail to be delivered too, then it is either picked up or forwarded to the customer.

Crooks and scammers like to use these as the address generated looks like a real street address + office suite.
