I haven't answered, but I've seen that they apparently tell you that your warranty on your automobile is running out. I don't even own a car. Oh, watch out what you put in the notes on your walls. Even though they are privateto begin with they can be tagged by almost anyone . Also, some of these new games like Superhero city and yoville depend on you're recruitingb lots

- According to a reverse directory, the service provider for 562-289-8136 is a company called Digitcom Services. Now, I'm not suggesting that everyone hound these guys. That would just be wrong. But, here is all of the contact information from their website:

I asked them as of why they would call a cell for marketing , when it is illegal
They say it is a computer glitch and that they have to add us to the do not call list. But for cellphone it is completely illegal anyway to perform any marketing whatsoever. I am thinking to file a legal complaints agains them and ask for $500 damages.- It is still illegal to telemarket to any wireless device without the permission of the device owner. Go to this site: http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints_tcpa.html and read it for yourself. Then click the link to go to Form 1088 and file a complaint. You should do this every time you get one of these calls. If the FCC gets lots of complaints about one number they may do something. So far I have filed seven complaints against 562-289-8136.
- Thank god I googled 562-289-8136 and found this site. The reverse number lookup sites are just about worthless. This number has been calling me everynight for the past week, between 3 and 7pm. Not odd hours, but my cell is prepaid, and it's for emergencies only. Needless to say I just let it roll to voicemail, which of course they never leave. I'll be filing a complaint as well.
- Thanks for the info. I found out the same company when I did a reverse. I called the company and told the person on the other end if they continued calling my 12yr old son's cell phone anymore my attorney would slap a lawsuit on them that would make their heads spin. The person on the other end of the line told me it wasn't necessary and they would remove the number. not being a trusting soul I had already changed the cell number with my cell provider after explaining my problem to them. they changed the digits immediately free of charge. I say a class action law suit may be in order if this harassment continues!!!!
- yes I like the idea of a class action suit, My daughter was recieving average of 2 calls a day from these idiots, which costs money everytime to recieve the messages. so i asked her to press 1 so I could talk to a rep. I told him my daughter was 15 and did not drive. I asked him where they get the numbers he said "I don't know" then I told him that I wanted to speak to his manager because I was going to charge them $10.00 for her phone bill he laughed and hung up on me. Now when I try to call them back it say's that I have been removed from their preferred callers list
- I called the number for DigitCom Services listed here and they are claiming that it is another company pirating their phone records. They were unable to give me any other info besides this phone number (800)461-6675 and I called and asked them who they were and what their problem was with calling cell phones. The gentleman said his name was Trey Parker (which happens to be the name of one of the "South Park" creators by the way) and his company's name was AFT Technologies and Phone Services. I asked that my number be remvoed and he said they had been having problems with the number 562-289-8136. Whatever, dude.
- I just received a call form these guys telling me my factory warranty was about to end, I thought it might be legit considering I just purchased a "new" car. I decided to hang up and call back but... when I call back nothing happens!!! I'm glad I looked it up, thanks to all:)
HOW ANNOYING! BTW: I don't have a facebook, myspace or any other personal webpage with my info on it!! - it ends up that many cell phone companies are selling wireless phone numbers. If you want them to stop you can go on Google and type in DO NOT CALL REGISTRY FOR CELL PHONES and add the phone number to it. They will stop calling and if they don't you are allowed to sue them for up to $500 for damages.
- I just did such a search and found information saying that no such site exists - there is no separate DO NOT CALL registry for cell phones. The original national registry (www.donotcall.gov) is the registry for all phones, cell phones included.
I just registered my cell phone because I've been getting these annoying phone calls every day for the past month. The registry says that the calls should stop within a month.
- I had several calls from 562-289-8136 -- including one @ 4:15 am -- and one call from 614-453-6303. I just called back the 562# -- got a recoding that said "you've been removed from our preferred calling list." I've no idea how they got my number -- maybe they were phishing.
I just googled the 562#, saw these msgs ... now I'm afraid that I'll be deluged w/ calls from telemarketers. I'll have to get a whistle -- I heard that if you whistle into the phone, it drives the person on the other end nuts. - I just put this message on the 281 number. I'm getting both. Version told me to press charges on them as phone (community?) harassment. I see that the 281 is in for $100 bucks and the 562 is in for $1500. Please turn them in. I don't believe there's a glitch. If we all called it'd really make a statement!
- The 562-289-8136 is calling my work cell phone number, which definitely is only on work email address signitures and busines cards. I'm calling them in the a.m. (I tried caling at 9:40 and it cut me off with no rings, with several attempts) and getting on the "do not call list". I've only had two calls, but it sounds like they wont stop.
Thanks for all the info about the phone number everyone!! - I just called Verizon to see if I could block the call. They told me it is illegal to block calls to cell phones but you can block calls to land lines. Unfortunately, I have a cell phone which is a business cell. He told me the only options I have are: 1. add to do not call list - but people like this don't care about that or 2. change cell phone number.
You can also fill out the fcc form on this site but I don't know what that will do. Answering these calls though is only going to let them know your cell is live. I'm sure these are automated programs that let the operators know they have a live fish on the line to speak with.
