562-388-2202 - Called July 26, 27, Aug 8, 2014 - I track repeat callers, try to have a plan like I have this one; I've filed two FCC complaints on other callers, and I may file on this one. I know, I agree that so far they are useless. I may even contact my Congressman.

This guy, whose voice I believe I recognize as the same caller using other numbers,  asks if I have handyman work. I talk just enough to catch him lying:
1. He worked for a Mike Shultz last month, today his dad, Ray Robinson... and he was Rodney Robinson today.
2. I asked for a company name today, "no company name, just dad & me". Last month it was AAA Home Improvement.
3. He told me he lives in my neighborhood, and gave a street name (which does exist here). When he said he was "born and raised" here I asked what school did he go to. His response was "private school"; he probably realized how bogus that sounded, so it then became home-schooled. BTW, mom was a vegan, and practiced holistic living. Egad.

HE finally tried to end the call! I told him I didn't have any work, so don't call me anymore (well-knowing that doesn't work, because when I talked to him in July, I repeated "do not call me" 3 times. But it's ammunition for an FCC complaint.

BTW, DID YOU KNOW THIS?
A. Once you register a phone number with DO NOT CALL, telemarketers have a free ride for the next 31 days.
B. IF YOU ARE A TELEMARKETER registering with FCC, you have easy to find contact to FCC. If you are a civilian, you're going to spend time searching, just to find there is no such easy contact.
C. IF you are wanting to file a complaint, you best have been telling them "DO NOT CALL ME"; I say "Put me on your internal do not call list". Some calls have stopped after I have clearly said this. And none of the other screaming, cussing, whistles, etc. do a thing.
D. If you file a complaint, you will need details, who called and when, what was their name, anything they told you.

"We need the "Sick Stick" from the movie "Kick [***] 2", causing explosive diarrhea and uncontrollable vomiting.to the telemarketer.  Sign me up."  

Called me.

I after too many calls, I finally told this 562-388-2202 to stop calling and added him to my call block list,  he is now #72 on my list. It's worth paying for this service.

For all of you who keep coming to these sites to complain about telemarketers, it won't do you any good. First of all, complaining on these sites serves no purpose, other than allowing you to blow off steam. Secondly—and most importantly—some telemarketers don't care if you're on the Do Not Call list; they don't care if you don't want them to call; they don't care if you're having dinner or trying to get to sleep at night; they don't care if you think they're rude; they just DON'T CARE.

Despite your crying, whining, moaning and complaining on these forums, they will continue to call. They are CONSTANTLY changing their outgoing phone numbers to fool you. They use a technology called "robo-dialing" which is basically a computer that calls random phone numbers until they make a connection. A connection is usually confirmed when someone answers the phone and says, "Hello," thus activating the system. Calling them back from a caller ID number which is spoofed will give you a recording that says the line is disconnected.

Get used to this, folks. They will continue to call forever. Do what I do; stop answering your phone. If you have caller ID, don't answer any call that you don't recognize. If anyone wants to get in touch with you, they will leave a message. You are NOT legally required to answer your own phone. Just ignore that appliance, get on with your lives, and check your answering service periodically.

8/13 12:33 PDT  Caller will be blocked as more that 40 others have been.  FED UP to the teeth with this garbage, but refuse to let scammers and telemarketers close me down.  Rings through to VM but never leaves message.

Hey Dave, most of us realize that complaining won't do any good, but it does let others know what is going on.  Obviously, we have no control over these creeps, but we can let other folks know what is happening and perhaps avoid being taken in.   I will continue to report and hope others do the same.  I never actually answer the phone these days.

dave, i think most of us are well aware that complaining here does not actually stop the callers from calling.  noting it here does help others to know that other people are also receiving these calls from the same number and that it is a scam/spam call.  i come here to see if others have received calls from the same number, when i see that others have, i immediately add it to my blocked list.  

i wonder why you are even here if you feel it does not good?

by the way, dave, if you notice, there are many many people here who say that they did not answer and do not answer calls from unknown callers.  noting the calls are received and that they are telemarketers, scammers, robocalls, or whatever, does help others.  i never answer the phone from an unknown number, ever.   that doesn't stop the calls from coming.  blocking them has helped with repeat callers though!

8/14 9:40  Missed this attempt today from these fools, but already have number blocked anyway.  Hoping eventually they will take the hint, but won't hold my breath.

This site is useful because it tells me if I need to block the scum or not.

8/19 15:43 PDT So here we go again.  Still blocked but these imbeciles really still don't get it.  Obviously, I would have had a problem if I had held my breath.

Got two calls this week.  Wasn't home for first one and my FREE call blocker let it ring once and zap he's gone.

8/27 9:42 PDT  Still trying to call and will remain blocked.

Their answering machine sounds a little different now.  And, oh yah, THEY can't change the message on it... but I can.  

Posting here helps people who get these calls. I know I'm not alone, but it's to the point that I don't answer my phone unless I know the number or am expecting a call from an area. I check here and other sites and learn real quick if I should block the number. Thanks to all who post here.

9/01 12:28 PDT  Still trying, even on holidays. One of these years, may get the message.  Truly don't understand mentality of folks that simply can't seem to understand "NO".  Will continue to report attempts to call, so others, like Rudiger understand what is going on.
