got a call and they said I have not paid for merchandise sent in 2009

Update,  I have been calling and calling and calling.  Guess what they are begging me to stop:-)  I can't I owe them money!

I  received a phone call from this number 562-866-1728.  The name on my caller ID was "Victoria Lungren".  The person calling identified himself as "Jackson Montgomery" and said he was from "DHWA" e.g. "Disabled Handicapped Workers of America" and said that I had not paid for some $40 something worth of trashbags that I had received on 12/9/09, further stating that I now owed 28 months of late frees totaling over $300.00.  He went on to say that if I "settled this matter now" that they would wave 10 months of late fees and I would only have to pay $194.00 on my VISA or checking account.

He said that he was from the "internal collection department" of the "Disable Handicapped Workers of America" and had not turned me over to an outside collection agency YET.  But stated he would if I did not pay them now/tonight.

Of course, I told him that I had never gotten a phone call nor a letter from them or anyone telling me that I owed anything.  He had nothing to say about that.  I asked him why hadn't their billing dept sent me a bill in the past 2 1/2 years if I owed them money.  He said he didnt know, that he was just from the "internal collections dept".  I told him that it sounded like the DHWA right hand didnt know what the left hand was doing.

I got his number (which I already had on caller ID) and told him I would call him back but I was going to check them out on the internet first.  And I did.  Guess what I found?  Tons of people from all over the country have received phone calls exactly like this one.  So guess what else I did not do.  Call them back.  LOL

Yessir, that organization is a total SCAM.

We received the same phone call yesterday (5-14-12) from Jackson Montgomery saying that I had ordered 4 75 watt lightbulbs on December 10th, 2009 @ $89.99. I now owed them 28 months of late fees totaling $397.97. He said that they had a recording with my voice agreeing to the purchase and the tracking number from the USPS. He however refused to give that information to me. He stated that if I did not give him my credit card number yesterday that he would turn me into a collection firm and my credit would be ruined. I could smell a rat the entire time. My husband and I told him that we would see him it court.
