- David Brugger| 3 repliesThis number, and other numbers 1 (567) 214-xxxx constantly call my home phone. If I answer there is a several second period of silence. Then a recorded voice says "good-by". This happen about 5 times a day and is very annoying. I called the number back and it answers but no one will speak to me.
- Ernie| 3 repliesI have received two calls within the last ten minutes and there is noone on the other end. It would be interesting to know who this stupid hack is.
- kimThis number has called me a few times the past couple weeks. They do say hello when I answer in an India voice. i just hang up.
- Liz| 2 repliesThis number called me, maybe several times during the past two weeks, but I usually don't answer when I don'[t know the number. This time however I did answer and the voice, and east indian accent, guy said he owed me a refund for the computer service I have as they are discontinuing the service. I said ok what do I do? He proceeded to have me go online to Western Union and through a credit card arrange for a refund. Although I was weary I did it like a dam fool. Then the screen went blank and he hung up. I immediately called my credit card company and sure enough he tried transfer $499 or 4 & something via Western Union. I notified Western Union, the Police in Bellevue, OH where the call originated from and they said I have to file the complaint with my local PD. I did give them the phone number though. Since it is federal offense I will also notify the federal authorities. I can't believe I was so dumb and feel for that. Since he knew about my computer service, and was quite astute with the computer, I need to go back and investigate the computer service as that probably as a fraud as well. Please beware out there. If the phone company monitors these messages I hope you will also start recording his phone calls for evidence.

- Buck replies to Liz| 1 replyI just got both of the type calls this morning that are mentioned above. The second was a call, from a person with a strong Asian or Indian accent, claiming they are from Microsoft, in an attempt to get me to turn on my computer, give them access to my computer so their "technicians" can show me how my computer is "sending out hacking sites without my knowledge or permission". My computer hasn't even been turned on for the last several days, so THAT's not possible, though he claimed it was!! At this point I hung up and am going to block the phone number. You already know this now, but NEVER give access to your computer to anyone whom you have not made an outgoing call and personally contacted first.
- sueCouldn't understand the guy and asked him to remove this number from your list. He said WHY I said please remove this number from your list. Then he said [***] You over and over again. I laughed and hung up. Where was that going to get him.
- Bee| 1 replyThis is a hackers call from India. They will tell you that there is an issue with your windows computer. Just tell them that you don't have a Windows computer, you have a Mac book. They will stop calling you....

- DONNAI just received a call from 5672149999 but no one responded when I answered. So I called it back & it said "you have reached a non-working number" what the heck........ people need to grow up
- JoanEveryday, several times a day...an Indian calls about my "windows computer." Since they are invoking Microsoft maybe Microsoft has the power to stop this scam.
- Joy| 1 replyReceived a call from this number at 9:59 a.m. today. His accent was so heavy I could only understand about half of what he was saying. Gave me the spiel about a virus that infected my computer and he was going to help me get rid of it. I asked him if he could tell what type of computer I had and he said "Oh, yes it was XP Windows 8." I laughed and told him he must think I am damn stupid to fall for his scam since I don't own any such computer.
- SusanHad call from "John" from "Windows". Told him I didn't have a Windows based computer and had a Mac. He got someone else

- Erskine Zimbalkist| 1 replyMore useless scum trying to scam everyone. The federal "Do Not Call" list is a joke !!! A political money grab which delivers nothing ! These scammers need to be shut down permanently. With all of what the NSA has there's no excuse for this !!!! Maybe if we start turning in these numbers stating that we believe they are engaged in terrorist money grabs.... Maybe then, they will do something about it .
- SharonReceived call this morning and I answered but no one on other end. Tried to call back and no ring, no answer. Wanted to keep them from calling because my husband is trying to sleep. Thanks for the posts and the reports--I am now aware of what is going on and will not answer it again.
- JoanNo one answers when I pick up. Have had problems with this number for the past couple of weeks. Wish there was somehow this type of annoyance cold be stopped.

- Smurff replies to Ernie| 2 repliesThese [***] claim to be from Microsoft and want to help you fix the problem THEY found on your computer. It is a scam. For fun, tell them to hang on a minute and set your phone down and ignore them until they hang up. Screws up their sales "numbers" and cuts down on the n umber of calls they make to other.
