the department of legal affairs.  Another east Indian scare scam.

East Indian accent. Conversation as follows:
Him: May I speak to  "Daughter's Name?"
Me:  Who's calling?
Him:  Who am I speaking to?
Me:  Who am I speaking to?
Him:  I am (forget name) calling with an arrest warrant for "Daughter's name."  I am with the US Treasury Dept.
Me:  I don't believe you.  You are calling from Fremont Ohio.
Him: I am agent number 55201.  I am calling with arrest warrant.
Me:  (hung up the phone.)

more for the legal affairs scam .. tell them to *off .. seems thay are targeting woman .. Instruct the kids never to give any information out .. repeated calls ..

Dept. of Treasury saying that we owed back taxes from 2011 and if unpaid we would go to jail.  

I received a message from this same number asking me by name to call back, sounded like a call center and heavy accent. Said I should consult with an attorney as it could lead to legal action, department of legal affairs.

"This message is intended to contact -----. Hi ----- this is officer James lee(?) for the possible legal affairs US zurich(?) and I was trying to reach you in regards to a very important issue. This is a local(?) notification for you in regards to the enforcement actions that has been started on your name number to reach you especially-department(?) is 5673429086 nine(?) three 5673429086 eight for any reason you're received-a(?) call back. I would suggest you to have your retained attorney to do that for you and today I'm calling this night and. You go-to-mass(?) with you. I hope you will take this right didn't call me back. This is officer James may-have-been(?) in the Department of legal affairs for US Senate. Looking forward to speak to you until then have a blessed day."

My name is Ari Parker calling from Dept of Legal Affairs US Treasury. Please call office at 567-342-9086 as there is a legal case against you.

Sounded like a scam. Had to ask 10 times to repeat the name of who they were calling for. Looked up on line and sure enough - same story.

You owe back taxes from 2010 pay us cash via wire transfer to stop the warrant.... Hahah

I also just got a call from someone with an Indian accent and it was the same story about looking for my daughter to arrest her.  When I told him that this was a joke he told me "Oh so you think this is a joke then just wait 45 mins and they will be there to arrest her."

Just another new type of scare tactic to scan people.

Similar story.  Claiming to be from the Dept of Legal Affairs, US Treasury.  Regarding a federal income tax issue and that they were going to take legal action.  Call back this number 567-342-9086.  If not, someone was going to be at my door in 30 mins.

First time they were looking for me, second time it was my ex husband. Then immediately called again for someone completely different.

"This message is intended to contact Susan hey Susan this is Paul Adams with the Department of legal affairs and I was trying to reach you in regards to a very important issue. This is a verbal(?) notification for you in regards to an enforcement action that has been started on your name and number to reach me is 567-342-9086. I repeat 567-342-9086. If for any reason-you(?) are busy to call back. I would suggest you do have your DJ attorney to do it for you as delay(?) calling us might end up into a legal message for you. I hope you would take this ride then(?) call me back. This is Paul Adams again with the Department of legal affairs. Looking forward to speak to you. Great Day."
