It came from a call center and a man said this is about your computer, my wife then hung up.

Got a call from the same person, heavy foreign accent, wanted me to access the internet management system on my computers. Call came in at 1:50 CST 4-30-15.

Hung up on him.

Same thing here. "David" started on his spiel and I cut him off.

Call hang up at 1 pm PDT.  Obviously a new number for the scammers.  Here we go again ... still.  Sigh. Warn the elderly and impaired you know that they are back.

some guy, Sam Stevens he said he was, called and asked me to get on my computer so i can remove some file that slows down my computer . Sounded fishy so i told him to call me later. i am not going to do what he wants

They called my cell phone.  So not only are they calling a number on the do not call list, they are calling cell phones.

I was called today around three. The man, in a strong Indian accent, told me something was wrong with my computer. I stayed on, as he didn't ask for anything but me to get on my computer. I said I couldn't, and he scheduled to call me again at 8. I know now that it's a scam, and I will be calling Dell, as that was the Alias he was using.

Very similar experience as mentioned by others. A supposed company name was mentioned, but the accent made it difficult to understand. After I hung up, the caller (which was a man) had the guts to call back again. I told him if I had any security issues 'Microsoft' is the only company that should be calling and the man answered in such as way that I knew it was not a Microsoft contract based company. Furthermore, I told the guy if he has any further problems, he can send an official letterhead in the mail, and I hung up again. More then likely some type of computer security scam where they might be trying to get malware on your computer.

I received a call from a man with a thick Indian accent telling me he was from Tech Support America.  Apparently my computer had been infiltrated in some way and was sending error messages or something to that effect.  I played along for a few moments, knowing it had to be some sort of scam, and was given a very poor AND insufficient explanation of what the problem was and how it could have occurred.  He wanted me to access my computer and follow his instructions, and when I insisted on some sort of valid proof of his claims, he deflected my questions.  I became irritated and began to inform him of how I was not an idiot, I knew he was participating in an illegal scam, and just about the time I told him he would be hearing from my attorney on the matter, he quickly hung up on me.  I hope I dissuaded him from attempting that BS with my again.  I'm wondering how and to whom I report this to.

Called at 9:00 tonight.  Have received calls from this number for several weeks. Told them I wasn't an idiot.  Tried to argue.  I hung up.  Won't quit calling. Considering blasting an air horn into the phone.

Got a call from "Sam" at 9:14.  He started his spiel and I stopped him and informed him it was too late at night for him to be making these calls.  He said he would call again tomorrow.  I told him I was not interested and not to call again.  He said I would be getting a call tomorrow regardless and then hung up. Definitely some type of scam.  He can call all he wants - I don't have to answer.

Haha I had fun with the guy. I started talking really computer technical terms with the poor dude and he got confused and HE HUNG UP ON ME. Can you believe that?  Lol

Received the same call just few minutes ago. HEAVY accent, could not understand, from "Alex Martin" from Tech Support America. Says he's Calling back Monday. Great. ALso wanted me to get on computer so he could instruct me how to fix the "problem". Glad I looked up the phone number and found these responses. That settles that!.
