- Kat| 4 repliesNice intimidation tactic from a piece of [***] marketing company. They call and first thing they say is "Don't hang up". Then they talk about some kind of new pain relief cream to help people with chronic pain and get them off narcotics. At the end it's press a number to get this shipped at no cost to you. Press a different number to let your providers know you have refused this offer. Intimidation at it's finest. Scare the customer into getting hooked on your product by making them believe they will be penalized somehow in the future by their doctors and/or insurance providers for not buying the product.
Not even an option to learn more about the product. We told you it works. If you don't get the product you must be a drug addict and we will let your providers know accordingly. You either want it or you don't. Sound familiar??? (You're either with us or against us). Yes, I'm stretching it a bit. But it is the same tactic. You either buy into what we're selling or you are a bad person and everyone will know - Maria Dora J Petersen| 2 repliesGot 7 calls today from this number. SO SICK OF THIS COMPANY CALLING. I am on the do not call registry
- Call type: Telemarketer

- Jane| 4 repliesCould someone tell me what good the "do not call registry" does. I get calls from telemarketer's all the time and I am on the "do not call registry". I think it is a waste of time to sign up on it.
- Caller: all kinds of companies
- Mike-in-MD replies to Jane| 1 replyThe calls you receive are either from criminals or those categories of callers not required to utilize the DNC list. Now, can you name one law that can actually prevent a crime from occurring just by it's existence? Also, how many calls do you receive every day from local insurance agents, real estate companies, lawncare companies, etc? If you are not receiving calls from your local businesses that you have not initiated contact with or have dealt with during the past 18 months, you can thank the DNC registry for it. That is the sole purpose of the DNC rules, to LIMIT unwanted sales calls. It never promised to prevent all unwanted calls, only to limit sales calls. It actually does what it promised to do very well.
- Big J| 3 repliesGot a call from this number. Did not answer. No message. I am also on the worthless DNC list.
- kyly replies to Big J| 1 replyYou also can't read. See Mike's above post. He Explains it very nicely for those who don't have time to read and understand what they are signing up for when they sign for the DNC registry. You got a call, you did not answer......what were you expecting "a List" to do for you?
- not Michael replies to Big JThe Do Not Call List law is a list of phone numbers that the owners do not want telemarketing calls and a law making it illegal to call those numbers. For a scammer its just one more law to break.
The law does not apply to politicians, charities, and pollsters. It does not apply to bill collectors or anyone else you have done business with recently. - MarlaJust called me too. Blocked.
- Pissed Off Gun Owner replies to Jane| 1 replyThe problem is that they are NOT telemarketers. They are scammers and criminals who ignore the DNC with impunity because the FCC doesn't investigate or prosecute. The FCC can only assess a fine IF they are a legitimate business and can find them and they don’t look very hard. And there are NOT legitimate business.
- Mrs G replies to KatJust got that same call. Pressed one and spoke to a man who answered and try to give me his pitch. I said that first I need to interrogate him. Asked who he was looking for at this number, he hesitated and acted like he was looking for the information. I said forget that question, if I press five to refuse, how exactly is this going to get reported to my primary care doctor? He said he didn't know. I point blank asked him "you and this company don't even know who I am or who my primary care doctor is, do you?" And he admitted that was true. I then told him to get a real job and that I am reporting this number to the authorities
- Hugoactually connected to listen to the scheme they were pushing. They ask for insurance information in order for a doctor to prescribe you their new topical pain medication at no cost to you, but being billed directly to your insurance. The company was reported to be "Health Advisers" though I could find nothing on it via google. When pressed, they stated that they were a call center in New York and acted as a middle-man for Health Advisers which is why they could not provide the company address or telephone number (all of which would be verified from the insurance company when billed at no cost to me).
Sounds like a scam to defraud insurance companies.- Caller: "Health Advisers"
