Don't know anyone or any company from Pennsylvania.

Unknown caller.

I don't answer phone numbers I don't know or are not in my address book.  I googled the number and other sites are reporting this number as Commonwealth Financial Systems and that they're a debt collection agency.

Getting calls from this number is getting tiresome.  How do you stop them.

I answered the phone and the person hung up, so I called the number back a man answered and said how are you today this is Eric Roberts, I as dked who he was and he hung up.

They have identified themselves to me as common wealth financial and call from 3 different numbers from 3 different states. When you answer you are out on hold, the guy answered and asked me how he could help me.... I said "hey, you called me! How can I help you?!" He asked to speak to me but called me by my divorced name which changed some time ago. I told him that person he was trying to reach did not exist any more. Then he told Mr he needed to verify who he was speaking to and asked for my SSN. I said "Naw jack, you called me, that aunt the way this works!" I said "who are you and what is the nature of this call?" He said common wealth financial and it was a personal business matter. I said "personal business matter? I haven't initiated any personal business, and I just got out of bankruptcy so I'm debt free baby. I'm not sure what you could be calling me about and using a name I haven't used in years!" He again tried to get personal info and asked for my birthday. I said "it's not going to happen, how fun do you think I am?" He said OK that he would just keep calling me all day until I have him the information. I said "OK, talk to you tomorrow". Sure enough he called back today, I said "hey man, it's you again, huh?" I am kinda looking forward to giving them a hard time every day, this could end up being fun for me. 😂

Calls frequently.  There's never anyone there when I answer.

Called my mobile and left no message.

I am so confused about these numbers calling me from Common Wealth. They first started calling from Seguin, TX. When I picked up the phone, someone answered, "This is Eric. How may I help you?"

I said, "I don't know. You called me."

He said, "Right. Is this Lucy?"

I said, "Yes. Who is this?"

He said, "This is Eric from Common Wealth. I will need your birthday and social security number before I say anything else."

I said, "I won't give you that information until you tell me what this is about. I've never heard of Common Wealth."

He said, "I can't give you anymore information."

I said, "I don't feel comfortable giving out such personal information to companies with whom I've never done business."

He said, "Fine. That's your choice. I'll be mailing you papers with information. You'll need to respond to them."

Then, he wanted me to confirm the address. He provided an address that I have NEVER given to anyone.

Super sketchy.

Just a follow up:

Still calling, still the same conversation, still nothing has been mailed to the address.

Nothing will be mailed either.  They are basically trying to scare money or information out of you.   In any event your are not obligated to respond to a debt collector.  You can simply ignore him or her and block the number.

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them.

IDK! I have blocked them, had Sprint associates block them, cussed them out, been even abusive and insulting, They still call! Going to change number.

Every time they call I abuse them. I get personal too! They hang up and I call and tell them they are mercy humps that can't get a real job! I can be just as annoying as they can!

Do not give them your social security number! If they were legit collectors they would already have it!

They are annoying and cant be blocked, and never say anything when you answer.

I get a call on Fridays every month from this number.  I do not answer and they do not leave a message.  A websearch on this number took me to this website.  Apparently, this is some sort of fraudulent company.  They want personal info before even letting a person know to what the call is in reference.  This sounds VERY shady.  I hope that no one gives them their SS# or other personal info.
