This is one of the worst phone pests of the region. Multiple calls daily. There seems to be no way to turn them off. )Washington Post-pests)

Same issue here. I've asked for 1-2 years to be removed from the calling list, each time I'm given a bogus script that I will hear 3 beeps and to please stay on the line so that I may be connected. Each time, I'm met with a dial tone. Today I threatened to call the police and to take legal action if I were not properly transferred, especially because they call and ask for the previous owner of the phone number and don't even know my name.  Suddenly, I was told that the manager (who supposedly overheard my conversation) was able to remove me promptly.  Who knows if there was even a manager.  This conversation described was my latest conversation.  It was the 4th interaction today with that number. The first interaction was a missed call from them. The 2nd interaction was when I called them back and reached a generic voice message.  The 3rd interaction resulted in my hanging up.  On the 4th interaction, I was able to reach the exact same individual I spoke to when I hung up, strange if were really the Washington Post.  You would think such a department would be more staffed!  This time, I would not take no for an answer and I demanded to be removed from the calling list.  We shall see...

This is most likely a work-at-home telemarketer on assignment to the Washington Post
whose sole job is to bomb-call everyone in Northern Virginia trying to solicit subscriptions.
These people have no authority to change the lists programmed on the robo-caller.  They get
paid for the use of their computer that dials out all day and if someone answers they try to sign them up
and get a bonus for each new subscriber.

As the delivery people don't bother to deliver a one-time-per-week paper at least one weekend out of four in
my experience, I would't subscribe to this even if I wanted the paper, which I do not have any need for.
Try calling the general customer service number to get off the lists--1-800-477-4679--and ask them if the scammer at 571-252-3996 works for them and lodge a complaint.

    Hey You
I wouldn't read their bleeding heart liberal rag if I got if for free.  Even if was getting it, all of the calls would make me stop.
