What is Removal DNC

I think it it is a telemarketing call, and if you wish to be removed  simply call back the number and add yourself to their DNC (=Do Not Call)

I wouldn't leave a number, then they know that it is a live one.

That is not how to get on the do not call list

sounds like a scam.

When I answered one of these calls with a business greeting, they just hung up on me.  Being rude is not a good idea!

I am not so sure it is a scam JA.  I think these guys have a little fire burning under them to obey the FTC rules regarding removal, and they now really remove people from their list in order to stay out of trouble....

Right John keep trying to fool people... scammers don't take people off their lists, but the do set up decoys like calling back to get removed as a trick to harvest good phone numbers.  

Don't answer, if you do answer have a loud whistle handy in case some subhuman actually comes on the line!

And keep those FCC complaints coming - yes, it's FCC not FTC, not that "John" wants you to know that LOL.

I would tend to agree with Telemarketers R scum.   I signed up for the DNC list one evening after talking to a really rude telemarketer.  I never really talked to them and never bought anything from a telemarketer so I never considered it a problem.  Anyhow after signing up for the list I seem to be getting more calls than ever.   This is one of the more prolific callers, calling at least once a day.  They have never left a message and the one time I answered there was no one on the line.   Caller Id says Haymarket VA and number is 571-261-0012.  

I am not sure if this is even related but I have been getting loads of calls from a number that shows up 2N Removal List and # is 702-520-1468 also

I don't know who this is all I know is they called like non stop 6 times or more in a row from 11:15am to 11:40. I don't have an answer machine or voice box so they just kept calling and I never answered. Any one have any idea what this is about?

I got a call from these people once last night and one time on Saturday morning

Called my work and home phone under #'s
571-261-0012 and 571-261-0052
Came up on ID as Removal DNC
Looked up #'s in white pages - show they are both land lines in Haymarket, VA
Silent both times I answered

possibly found answer to all these problems. For most of these calls, what u can do is call it back, most of them will give you the option to automatically be removed from their list.  This pretty much solves the problems, at least for me.  whenever u just tell them to take u off their list, it never happens. but It mostly works when u call that number back.

I called back the automated message with the telephone number 800-913-5420, and after punching in "2" for landlord inquiries , I spoke with "Ron Hubbard", who says he owns "Top Dog Leasing". He says he got my number off of either Craigslist or West Side Rentals, and he has a service making his outgoing messages from the 571-261-0012 number. When I informed him that he was calling a private number listed on the DNC list, he retorted "get a life" and hung up on me. Who would do business with a schmuck like that???

I am also getting multiple calls from this company.   The first was on 27 July and the last was a few minutes ago.  I've answered a few times since we have resumes out, but it is always just dead air.

i got a cal from this number before 5 mins but i haven't attend it bcoz i felt it is an anonymous cal.

I got a call from this number. They didn't leave a message. Unsolicited call.

When responding to someone on this forum, try keeping a civil tongue in your head (tough evidently for you) and a smattering (look it up,if you must) of manners. No one will concider you as any sort of source for information, especially when couched (look it up) in sarcasm & lack of dignity. FCC, FTC, we ALL knew what he meant. Who do you figure you're helping? Trust us all when we say, hain't nobody here gonna hire you'un for ha comedy gig. Capish?

I got a robo call from this # (to my cell phone), said it was from card holder services about my credit card. Said there was no problem with my account but it was for important programs I am be interested in.

This is either 1 of 3 things I can think of. A red flag was it did not say what credit card company it was for.
1. One of my credit cards trying to get me to sign up got credit insurance or something useless like that. I would expect that to be with my statement and not from random calls to me cell phone.
2. My credit card company selling my information to a 3rd party, who knows what they are selling.
3. A scammer fishing for your personal information, assuming most people will have a credit card and call them back. You call them back and they say something like we need your name, address, soc sec #, etc...to verify your identity. Then you find out your idenity has been stolen shorty there after.

You appear to like putting others down by using big words, and then saying "look it up",but you need to look up the word "consider". The Poster was not being rude simply pointing out an obvious error, and calling out someone who obviously had less than honorable intentions.

this number repeatedly calls my cell phone, i ignor it every time as i am sure it is tele-marketers, but they are getting on my nerves!
