called at 2PM. Hung up after 4 rings. caller id "V71614075900371"

Also hung up after a few rings, no message.

this caller calls in pm but says nothing and does not leave a message. we are on the do not call list and have no credit callers calling... there is no reason for the call. it happens after 7 pm sometimes around 9pm

i called the number back and a man that calls himself as jeff answered asking for donations and support i will call around to find out if this is a viable donation center and not just a hoax.:
so the call went like this:  this is from the american veterans support  association  collecting for the American war veterans but i doubt that this is ligit because of the lack of identification on the phone id... he only id'd him self as jeff

It still could be a hoax.  I couldn't trust it.

Called the number back and it was a guy looking for a donation for veterans.

A wireless caller who hung up when answered the phone. I'm tired of spoofing. I am getting rid of all my phones.

6:45pm MST, Arizona. Rang until voice mail picked up the call then they hung up. So if this is someone calling for Disabled American Veterans, for instance, I've donated to them for many years by mail with a check. Why change it up now? We know that charities all sell their donors names in a list to other charities. Like it was said earlier, I think if it was legit that Caller ID would show their name. I wouldn't trust anything over the phone unless the call was instigated by you. Call all you want sucker. I screen all of our calls anyway & rarely answer.

Called Virginia at 10:30 at night.  Seemed to be a smart recording--pauses after I said anything and repeated phrases exactly the same way, but it was a folksy sounding male voice.  Said he was collecting for American Veterans.  I interrupted stating "at 10:30 at night?" and triggered an "ok, I'll call back later."

Obviously a scam  charity. If you want to help veterans please give to a charity where most of the money goes to help vets. Organizations like this take money that could be donated legitimate veterans organizations. Please check out any organizations that you want to give a donation. I will not give to charities that call me and there is no prior relationship.

Who uses a cell phone to solicit money?  It's a scam.

I got a call 9:32 Sat am. no message left. I have not donated to the veteran's group before. Not sure how they got my number.

I NEVER answer calls if caller ID shows "V(numbers)" -- it's ALL fraud.
