Asked for 'lady of the house'. Something about family films.
Interesting, I got the same call tonight, about family films, do I feel there's too much violence, etc...I fell for the fake voice ! Said yes to most questions and she asked if someone could call and explain in better detail what it was all about ( I thought she did a pretty good job herself ). Sooo, someone ( or machine ) may call back in a couple of days. I felt somewhat uncomfortbale with that, kicking myself for being such a 'softy', oh well. I checked out the phone number in the net search bar and found this site. After reading your comments I decided to call the number. A lady answered "hello" but I didn't say anything, a brief pause and then "okay this is...". This lady was a recording, giving me the same spiel as the caller from tonight ! I didn't say a word, even when she asked questions, she just would say "okay that's great" and continue on. I even stayed on the phone after she'd finished and a few seconds later she came back saying "hello ? Hello ? Did I lose you?" and then silence and finally the click of the phone.
Weird and an eye opener. I did not realise they had programs that sounded just like you were talking live.
Now I guess the next 'test' is when we get a call back, I hope my husband is home because I'll pas the phone to him and see what happens.
Just got a call from these people tonight, same scenario as everyone else. I decided to call them back and find out what the deal was. The computer chick kept answering my questions with odd phrases but once I told her to take our number off their list, a man got on the phone and said he could take it off. I gave him our number and he supposedly took us off the list. He said the name of the company was Feature Family Films and they're conducting a survey.
Just got the same call on my home phone 5712836422 of Kami and Robert. I'm not sure on how they got my number it supposed to be unlisted. I wish they want call back.
I keep getting a call from 5712836422, but i never answer numbers i dont know and they never leave a message. It's so random because it's my cell phone that they keep calling.
AFTER I RECIVED THIS SAME CALL I RETURNED IT AND GOT IN TOUCH WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE , I EXPLAINED THAT I DID NOT WANT TO SEE THAT NUMBER ON MY CALLER ID EVER AGAIN
Just got the same call on my home phone 5712836422 caller ID was Kami and Robert. I'm not sure on how they got my number it supposed to be unlisted. I wish they want call back again.
Got the same phone call today, didn't answer but came here to check it out. It came up as Kami and Robert on my called ID, they didn't leave a message.
Same. They asked for lady of the house. I replied you got the wrong number. They said well how about the man of the house, I replied im at work whats this about. Then she said thanks and hung up. O K
I got the same call. The asked for the 'lady of the house' I said there is none and they talked to me instead. There is probably some statistic that women are more likely to listen to solicitors or something. The conversation cut in and out of a real person talking and her recorded voice.
They said the film industry isn't paying attention to family and are making too many R films. They asked questions if I agree with this and I said no. Then they gave me some statistics. I'm a movie blogger and studios avoid R films. If they can make an R film into a PG-13 film they will do it so they can reach a bigger audience. She also said that movies today are not given heavier ratings today. That's bull too. Look at the Ghostbusters (1984)it was rated PG. Today this movie would probably be an R because of the smoking, swearing, and sexual content.
They asked me if they can call later with more info. I said no. Then they asked for my full name. Then there recording machine came on. I wanted to ask why they wanted my full name. I got no answer so I hung up.
This is some kind of scam to get your full name, phone number, and address. My phone # is 100% unlisted. I went through a lot of trouble to do that. These people are using some kind of random dialer.
These people are trying to pull off identity theft in my opinion.
Feature Family Films is legit! And yes they do try to sell you movies...but guess what...they are good family movies...a decent film and a pretty good price. My mother in law buys gobs of them in Oct/Nov and gives them to her 7 grand children as gifts. My favorite so far has been the "Extreme Days" movie with strong Christian values tied into extreme sports. I am not sure where the Kami/Robert thing ties into it but FFF is a legit company...not a scam... please help spread the word
Yes, I agree it is a legit company and I have purchased movies from them. I give them out as gifts to the various kids in the family. If you don't want to purchase any family style movies, just cut it short and tell them not to call anymore.
Received the same call today. They asked for a lady of the house, offered a 90 seconds survey after which I asked to be put on their do-not-call list. The woman on the other side said she will take care of this. This doesn't sound like a identity theft it's more like 'pre-sale' call when they get your opinion and the next call a week later will try to sell you 'family' movies.
First they called while we were at our cottage. Then two days later they called us at a house we were house-sitting, then two days later at our home. Same (female) person each time - said her name was "Tammy". Sounds like the plot of one of the violent movies she claimed to be against - I am definitely freaked out. Did anyone else get questions about whether there were members of the household under 16? She also asked for the lady of the house, and spoke to the lady of the house on the first two calls except on the third call, when the lady of the house was unavailable. The man of the house asked her if I could speak to her, but she hung up so fast that I felt like I was the telemarketer, and not her!
I just received the same call from "Tammy" asking if the lady of the house was in. She mentioned something about a church of God, and is there anyone under the age of 16 in the household. She would not talk to me. I find your story disturbing. I sure hope this person is not up to something, that would not be tolerated, good luck to you and I hope this "Tammy" does not call back again... I am gonna go do some more investigating on this....
ok got it the company name is feature films, appartentlly you have been put on a mailing list somewhere down the road, and if you send a letter to a Chrissy Kelso c/o feature films p.o. box 88 Barrie, On l4m 4s9 they will give you the name of the company that submitted your phone . It is apparently a company that picks good wholesome movies for children. if you call the number and confront them they will take you off the mailing list as I just did. She seemed baffeled and confused and very nervous but this was a real peson that I talked to, this was no smart robot as others have described, because I also used the uh uhm thing and she understood fully, when I said "remove me from your ******* phone list. Good luck
