I got a phone call from this number. It seemed like a recording continuously saying hello.

same as last msg, i don't return call unless I know it is legit.

got a call from this number and the lady said she was calling on behalf of direct buy. i supposedly won some great vacation and when i asked how she got my information, what was the name of the company she works for and to remove my name from the calling list, she hung up.  i called back and the phone rang about 6 times and it said the magic jack customer you called can not be reached, leave a message.

Got a call saying I won a vacation and blah blah.  I asked how they got my number and he said he would transfer me to a manager to explain all the great details of my winnings.  

I then explained I am on the "do not call" list and he magically just hung up.  

Coincidentally, I just posted some stuff on craigslist for sale and got this call...

Got a call from this number on my cell phone - I answered without giving my name and asked the woman calling who she was looking for, she said "the owner of this phone" then read out my number. When I asked what she wanted, I thought she said she was calling for "Direct Voice in Naperville, Illinois" but reading the prior posts on this thread, I think I misheard her and she probably said "Direct Buy." I told her not to call again and hung up, then filed a complaint at donotcall.gov.

Asian lady, bad English, called my longtime cell number saying I won a free trip, I think, and mentioned my town location which was off by about 20 miles.  I said nothing is free and take me off the call list and she kept talking.   I repeated the take me off call list 4 times and said my next comment would be rude.  She said "you not interested" and I repeated to not call again.  She hung up.   Scam

Posted a sale on Craigslist... started getting calls from this number, went through the rigamarole trying to understand the broken English... apparently needed my credit card I said I do not have one, again hard to understand but was trying to ask if I even had an expired one, I said no, never had a credit card a day in my life and then got 'oh sorry.. cannot extend this gift' and suddenly pieces of what she'd been saying started to make sense, something along the lines of time share and get you credit card number scam...

Got a call from this number and an asian male voice who I couldn't understand, stated he was from R.I. and I asked him to repeat 3 times where and who he was from, then dead silence.  So I looked up this number and found several comments.  Seems like their scam uses men and women for their phony presentations.  I had just posted ads on Craiglist and now I figured out where they got my phone no.. My advice is to never answer your cell phone unless you know who it is or let them leave you a message.   I got another phone call last week from 306-633--9168 and when I tried to call it back, wouldn't let me threw.  Coincidence?  Think not, maybe same people, different scams.   BEWARE!

I just received a call from this number on my cellphone from a heavily accented man claiming to be "Mike" who said that he was offering me a VIP invitation from Direct Buy.  Direct Buy endlessly sends me SPAM via email which can usually block, but having a call on my cellphone during dinnertime is a gross intrusion.

Sounds like a real scam - wants all of your personal information - said they were from Direct Buy - foreign woman - kept calling me - finally I asked to be put on no call list - she said "why not take advantage of a great deal moron" - then said "FXXX U" and hung up!  I will be sure to report them!

Received two calls from this number today.
First time, I picked up the phone but didn't say anything right away, could hear lots of talking in the background, and they hung up.
Second time, I picked up and said HELLO, a woman in an asian accent said she was calling from Direct Buy ...
ME:  (nicely) would you please remove us from your calling list?
HER:  shut up
ME?  excuse me?
her:  shut...up
ME?  excuse me, I would just like to be removed from your callings list please.
HER:  shut up [***] (she hangs up)

I just got phone call from this number, but the non-english speaking lady said she was from King's Resort.  They are spamming numbers from Craigslist.  I have asked them to stop calling my cellphone for 6 months.  They are now calling from 6 different phone numbers.  Unfortunately, I have resorted to blowing whistles or air horns into the phone when I answer the phone and recognize their number.  Seems to keep them from calling back for a while.

Got a call from this number, he said he was with Direct Buy and when I asked for my number to be removed he hung up. They call daily and I have asked every time to be removed from their calling list.

its direct buy a telemarketing company they call from numerous numbers and seem to think its funny to continually call

I just received a call from this number too. Which led to me Googling it.

Me: Hello?
Her (heavy accent, Asian?): Yes hello ma'am. How are you today. (Right away sounded odd.)
Me: Hi, who are you trying to reach?
Her: I'm calling from Direct Buy. (I think that's where she said)
Me: Who are you trying to reach?
* She never answered me, and then hung up.

Don't ever give your personal information to people you don't know.

This number just called me and said they were direct but. This man was the most unprofessional man I have ever spoken too. He insisted I won a vacation blah blah blah so I asked can you take me off your do not call list please? He had the nerve to say why all nasty, so I continued to say I didn't appreciate these phone calls to my personal phone number and the idiot hung up on me. Direct buy you have terrible customer service and makes your business look so bad!!!

DIRECT BUY SCAM!!!

Got a call from this person saying he was a representative of "direct buy".  When he started into his message I stopped him and said "I'm really not interested.  Please remove my number from your list."  He said "OK. . . so f_ _ k you" and hung up.  Tried to call the number back and got the majic jack calling message. Wonder if there is some "legal" way to end the life of clowns like this?
