This was another scammer claiming to be from the IRS alleging that the person they are calling has unpaid taxes and they threaten that they are having a warrant issued for my arrest. Check out the IRS web page and you can see they don't do that. IRS contacts via US post office first. The callers never mention who they are calling. Total scam. Beware

Left pretty much same information as previously stated except he (has East Indian accent) identified his name as Officer James Anderson.

I received a call from 571-290-2027 a "Officer James Anderson" Indian accent saying that an arrest warrant has been issued for tax fraud....

Exact same scenario as outlined above!  Man with an Indian accent left a voice message identifying himself as Officer James Anderson, from the Tax and Audit Department of the IRS, regarding an illegal tax evasion and that they were about to issue a warrant for my/our arrest, but he never identifies WHO the call is for.....only to call 571-290-2027 for more information about the case.  

Thank you to the people that posted above. Seeing the same exact call details has confirmed in my mind that this is simply a scam type of junk call....and I will ignore it.

Looks like they're busy today. I've received 2 calls from them already.

I have submitted their phone number to the IRS for making fraudulent phone calls. Hopefully they'll give "Mr. Anderson" a call.

I received two of these scam calls in the last hour. Guy's name and the message is exactly what others documented above. Although I was fairly certain it was a scam I am grateful that others have taken the time to post this information so that I could verify it!

claims to be from IRS. Names is James Anderson with an Indian accident. Lisa Isic also with an Indian accident.

Same thing, James Anderson claiming an arrest warrant for tax fraud will be issued.

I also received several threatening calls saying that a sheriff will be at my door in 30 minutes with a warrant out for my arrest and that I will not be able to work in the US for the next seven years! It was pretty upsetting. How does this type of thing go on? Something should be done to stop them.

Total Scam!!! Same exact scenario as everyone else is saying, 2 calls already and its only 11am, I let both calls go to voicemail.
We were warned in our area via the local news that these type calls were being placed.

Got a call from this number.  The caller identified himself as an IRS agent. At that point I just said "Sure you are, goodbye" and hung up.

Sameo sameo, routine about taxes and arresting me.  Hope they find these guys.

Received numerous phone calls from the number, they claim to be from the IRS and that I have been reported for tax evasion and fraud. They are going to issue a warrant for my arrest. IRS does not call to let you know that you are being prosecuted for tax evasion. The person that I spoke with had a thick accent and said he was officer James Anderson. I have repeatedly ask them to quit calling me. I am reporting them to the AG here in Colorado. The last time they called they asked for the name of my criminal lawyer, I told them I do not have a criminal lawyer but I do have the name and number of the accounting firm that has done my taxes for the last 10 years. He hung up. I just want the calls to stop but don't know how to make it happen.

I got a call early this a.m. from 571-290-2027 from a Jennifer Smith who said she needed to talk to my husband about a case investigating him for tax evasion!  I didn't go for it and she got very angry with me.  She would not say where in Virginia her "office" was, would not give me any kind of ID number, etc.  I called the IRS 1800 number for Virginia and they told me right away that the phone number was already listed on the "SCAM" roster.  So I've called the number about 85 times and every time a person answers, saying "IRS and giving a name", I write it down.  I just wonder, if I had believed the call was legit, what were they trying to get from us?

Also received the same call from an officer Anderson stating the same above scenario. I attempted to call back several more times after being hung up on after telling this man I've reported them to the irs and was hung up on every time. Total scam. Thank you all for posting

Just received a call as well from "Officer" James Anderson.  Funny, the IRS has never heard of him, imagine that.  Sad to think that there may very well be people that are taken in by this scam.  Called "Officer Anderson" back from a non-disclosed phone and let him know that his information had been forwarded to local law enforcement AND that his message had been recorded, of which a copy was provided to the IRS.  To say that "Officer" Anderson was displeased, is an understatement.

Same as above....these [***] are committing a felony and the FTC does nothing about it.  Our government would rather make war on mid-easterners than protect it's own citizens from fraud....there's more profit in making war.

4 calls now from this scammer!! People do not give them any information or engage them in conversation, simply hang up on them as soon as they call or let it go to voicemail then report the phone # to your states attorney general (not that it will do any good) it is a total scam!!
