Told him I had googled his phone number and that there were many scams and fraudulent phone IRS phone calls coming out of the 571.  I laughed at him.

He suddenly didn't have time for my s--t!! and Hung up on me.

Scam: I received the following message from this phone number:

"I need you or your immediate attourney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is Justin Williams and a line to my ? is 571-308-2453. (repeats number) Don't disregard this message and do return the call. If you don't return the call and I don't hear from your atourney either, then the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you. Good bye, and take care."

Tried calling back to see what the hell it was, but got nothing but a busy signal. Talked to an attorney and he said it's pure crap.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Also received exact same message on voice mail. This is a scam, if IRS they would use your name in immediate greeting. Is using an android phone simply go to call log and click on the phone number and use your bottom left soft button and last click "add to reject list" and confirm.

Many scams like this, always be careful giving out your number and email,  if it seems to good to be true, it always is. (Scammers put put all kinds of bogus scams on CL) I learned the hard way inquiring about in home college training and work at home offers on Craigslist and since have been receiving all sorts of scam related calls and emails. If only I knew then what I know now..... good luck

the only thing I can do is "add to reject list" it will reject the call however will put them into your VM. I receive at least 2 calls a day and most are robot dialers or auto dialers and will show as a US phone number but most generate out of India and in some cases Africa and the UK but you will never know. If you call back and the first thing they ask is your name, number and or social security number, never give it out, ask them to mail you the information via certified mail. The IRS will always send a Certified letter pertaining to a case or pending injunction ect. Get the IRS number yourself and never use the number they provide on the voice mail.  You can use the IRS number below.

I received a call from Justin Williams on 1/16/2015 saying I was being investigated by the IRS.  He left on my voice message.
I just laughed at the message.  The IRS does not call people.  They send letters in the mail.  When he told me I was in deep trouble and being investigated by the IRS he told me to have my attorney contact him.  RIGHT!  This is such a SCAM!
I have tried calling the IRS but am not getting anywhere there.  Please people don't fall for this.  It is a SCAM!
