Called my wife and told her that she was going to get arrested, when I called him he told me we underpaid our taxes in 2010, and that we would both be arrested if we didn't pay in the next 45 minutes.  He hung up when he knew that I wasn't falling for it, I then got a call from what my caller ID said was the police department, we called them back and there were no warrants for our arrest

Total scam.  Originates in either India or Pakistan.

IRS does not file lawsuits.   Court action, if any is handled by the DOJ and all parties are entitled to legal assistance if it is a criminal matter.  But--tax disputes are for the most part civil matters.  90% of all IRS tax disputes are settled administratively.  IRS has absolutely no authority to call on local law enforcement for anything. Local law is never involved in IRS tax disputes. It has no powers of arrest.    If LE is necessary, US Marshals do the job.  IRS does not cold call anyone and ask for money. IRS does not accept Green card money paks for payment in any case.  No one is prosecuted for ordinary tax disputes. IRS has absolutely no authority over anyone's professional license. Professional licensing is handled by state governments.  Yes, levies on property to satisfy an existing tax obligation do occur, but only after a very long period of negotiation.  And usually a lot of appeals.   All determinations of tax liability are subject to appeals.  All  contacts by the IRS are initiated by US mail.

This number called me today and told me his name was officer Eric Foster he had an accent and sounded fake telling me he was going to arrest me if he didn't speak to me or my lawyer, and that if I did not respond this arrest would be left in my hands.

Received voice mail message stating that  "Agent" Rick Carter was calling from the IRS from 800-579-5210. He said to retain an attorney right away and to call back 571-308-2455 and not ignore call, doing so would lead to consequences. He had an accent. Sorry, didn't believe one second this was "Agent Rick Carter" and second no official letter has been received by the IRS. Don't answer this call and report to IRS.

I have receive two calls from these people saying I was going to be arrested...did not call back as it sounded like a scam

This is my first call from this number and will be the last since I blocked it. I owe no taxes. I am very diligent with following up on my financial matters. I always contact the IRS to make sure my affairs are in order after the tax season. So I KNOW this is a scam artist.... does he/she think we're stupid? Please!

Rep said he was an officer calling with the IRS. I advised him that that was not how the IRS worked and he said the cops would follow up with me. I called the number back and the rep said he was an officer and that I could wait for the cops to show up. Now when I call, they do not answer...Scam. I feel bad for the people that fall for this...

Fracking scammers! Got a message from an Officer Eric Foster (571-308-2455) about an extremely time sensitive matter that I or my lawyer needed to call back or all he can do is wish you good luck as the situation is unfolding badly for you. I called back and got a heavy accented man , supposedly with the IRS who would not tell me who or what the hell the matter was about. In fact he got agitated by the tone I was using, how dare I, I was speaking to the IRS. He then hung up and I looked up this number online finding postings for this scam. Beware and don't fall for this con as it is still going on.

Same as others. Eric Foster (571-308-2455), threatening on the voicemail about the "situation" I was in and that he needed to hear from me or my attorney. He left the same message two times today. What a [***]! I think I will have my attorney give him a call. Lol!

I got a call from Eric 5713082455 tell me he needs to talk to him n need to call back an I better not ignore this because if I did good luck to me. I don't believe it.

I got the same call from this man with accent said his name was Eric Fluster said he was a police officer and his division hot line number is 5713082455. Said it is an extremely time sensitive matter not to ignore it or all he could do is wish me good luck as the situation unfolds very bad for me.

A man called repeatedly from cell number 571-308-2455 while I was in a meeting. The calls started up, one after the other, from this same phone number a couple of hours later, and finally a voice mail was left from this number. When I got out of my meeting and listened to it, it was a man with a strong, middle-eastern accent. He said that I better stop avoiding his calls and I better call him back at 571-308-2455, or "things would end very badly for me" and I would "have to live with the consequences of that." He clearly is trying to create enough shock value in his message in hopes that you will return his call so he can move on to his scam of a reason to try to get personal info from you and/or money. DO NOT CALL THIS MAN BACK. This is a total 100% scam. It is my opinion that once he gets voice mail and hears a woman's voice, he assumes a woman is an easier target for his scam, and he becomes relentless with his calls and intimidating messages.

I received a call from a man claiming to be a police officer advising to call him back immediately. Terrible fake accent, obvious scam and after reading the comments, I realized he gave me the exact same story he gave other.

Just had this [***] call me too. Thankfully I had already been called by a fake IRS earlier in the year (From what sounded like a hispanic girl) and this time it was the Eric person. Basically put he was trying to make a new york accent while calling and I hope that anyone who gets called by him knows not to fall for it.

I just received a voice mail from this idiot. Everything as described previously.  Total scam.
