Went to VM but no message. Caller ID says: "BCFA"

Just received a call from this number also with BCFA on the caller ID.  No message left. Did not answer.  The DNC list is a real joke!  It's blocked now.  Life is good until all my blocks are gone.  They're going fast too.  

I'm located in VA.  

How is the DNC list a joke when this caller, like all callers soliciting for charities, is exempt? BCFA = Breast Cancer Foundation of America.  If you do not want their calls you have to tell them to place you on their internal Do Not Call list.  They are not required to register as a company subject to the Telephone Sales Rule and therefore have no idea which numbers are on the DNC list and no way to find out even if they wanted to.

BCFA = Breast Cancer Foundation of America is not registered as a charity.  

There IS a ABCF = AMERICAN BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION that IS accredited!!  You must work for this BCFA.  

I think BCFA is a FIRE ALARM CO - Yes another security/fire alarm company trying to get into your home, screw over the elderly scaring them to death and have the unsuspecting party left with high monthly bills for the service after this "FREE" alarm system.  

YES the DNC list is a joke.  I understand CHARITIES CAN call but this is not a charity that is registered as such legally.  Thanks for your input but I'm not falling for it.  

Lucky to get a person to ask not to place you on the internal DNC list & if you begin pushing the buttons they tell you to, you don't know what you are really agreeing to when pressing the # keys & possibly get slammed on the telephone bill with fictitious charges.  No one should EVER hit the # keys they ask you to.  It's not usually what it is shown.  If you do get somebody, your telephone number could be spoofed which is an even bigger PITA to get the telephone co to straighten out.  I'm not a novice at this.

Not being registered just shows they are a scam like most charities who solicit by phone and keep the lion's share of the donations for themselves. Even though they are a scam, they are still exempt since they are not calling to sell goods or services.

Wasn't even 9am here yet. I think she said she was from Breast Cancer Foundation Awareness group hired by a solicitor. After her spiel, I reminded her of what time it is here and told her to take my name off her list. She was polite and finished the call saying that If I would like to look at the statistics and financial summary, I could visit their website which I didn't ask for.

Got a call from 571-364-0161 on October 4, 2014 at 11:56 ,,,right before lunch.  Didn't answer as I don't pick up phone if number is not one I am familiar with. They didn't leave any message on my recorder.
