I just did no voicemail left didn't answer though.

This number just called me.  I called it back and it told me the number I have reached is not in service.  They left no voicemail.

Just called and said that I entered some contest online (which I didn't)   Hung up on them.

caller id says out of area.  this area code is the one in which we live.  answer madchine--hello, hello.  no
message.  time wasted erasing the non message.  has called many times.

Caller called 3x this morning....no one said anything on the 1st call answered...the 2nd and 3rd I did not answer. No message was left. This is a landline to which I electronically sent a text-converted-to-voice mail message to wit I had reported them and to cease!!

Received call 3 times and no one says anything.

Caller ID said Nokesville, VA. I didn't answer, I just hit the block call button on my phone so that number can't call again.  Love this landline phone that can block calls.  Great investment!

I just received a call from this number and I didn't answer it. No voicemail was left.
*Good Rule of Thumb*:
If you have Caller ID and receive a call from a number that you don't recognize, ESPECIALLY from an out-of-town or long distance number, DO NOT answer it and allow it to go to voicemail and IF they don't leave a message, which is usually the case, then(in my opinion) it's obviously NOT that important and they don't deserve OUR valuable time for a callback. If you decide to call them back, you are setting yourself up for a whole new BIG bag of issues because that opens the door to SEVERAL REPEATED and UNWANTED phonecalls, not just from them but from every other "ROBO-DIALER", TELEMARKETER, and SCAMMER out there that they send your number to, stating that you are a "willing subscriber" that will answer or return their calls. They actually receive a "referral fee" for every number they report(only if you answer or call them back) and that's why, 9 times out of 10, they don't say anything when you anwser or call them back. For MOST of them, that's their ONLY source of income they have because they do NOT have any product to sell or scam at all, they just jumped on the "referral money train" and often, if not always, use a "ghost" number(a number that has been disconnected or changed) OR use "Caller ID Spoofing"(using the phone numbers of actual Federal Government Agencies, like the FBI, FTC & IRS which are VERY popular with their "community", State, or Local Government agencies like the Police, Sheriff's, and Dept. of Revenue, or even an actual company like Microsoft, AT&T, etc.). If you ever receive any government phonecalls that you deem strange or unwarranted, HANG UP and call that department DIRECTLY(go to the appropriate ".gov" wesite for contact info) to see if they've called you. These agencies actually encourage you to call them so they can identify and prosecute the offenders!
Also, don't forget to call and notify the FCC and FTC of these calls because if they don't know about what's going on, then they can't stop these predators that often prey on the elderly and unsuspecting that have scammed MILLIONS of dollars already and there is no sign of them letting up anytime soon. It may seem like a daunting task, to call these agencies to report them, but it's ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for US to notify them before they uproot and find another location as they are constantly on the move to avoid detection and prosecution. It's going to require our due diligence and attentiveness to STOP these people. So PLEASE, PLEASE, for the love of God, read this entire message and respond appropriately!
