I had a voice mail on my work phone from this number.  It was hard to understand but I heard something about my "ATM card.  Press 1 to be transferred to our security department"  When I pressed one the message just repeated.  When I called the number it was a Verizon number that had been disconnected or was no longer in service.  Oh and my bank doesn't have my work number so it was not from them.

    I received the similar call..
Suspecting the problem I hung and called back but the verizon messaging system says that it is an deactivated number.

Generally banks do not leave an automated message for blocking the card..
    be carefull

I got a call from this number at 11pm.  It was an automated message as well telling me that my First National Bank debit card was stolen.  I don't have an account with that bank, nor have I ever had an account from that bank.

Have received about three calls on different days.  Message says it's from Sun Trust Bank, whom I've never dealt with.

I just received a call from 571-422-7207 today.  I do not answer calls that are not identified, figuring if I really need to talk to the person calling they will leave a message and I'll call back.  No message was left.  This call was to my cell phone which I do not ever give out the number to any business.  The only people that have my cell phone number are family and friends.  Scams and fraud has always been a problem, but with the economy getting worse every day the "scuz" balls are coming out of the woodwork.  Everyone really needs to be extra cautious and never, never, never give out personal id information (i.e., ssn, bank account numbers, etc).

Received a call from there today from VA saying my bank card had been deactivated, press one to reactivate it.  I pressed one and received another automated message to enter my 16 digit card number.  I just hit 16 random numbers just for the hell of it and got another message-sorry, we do not recognize that number, please try again.  I just laughed and hung up.  I should have kept punching random numbers to see how many tries it would give you and see if a real person would ever pick up thinking thay had real sucker on the line.

Yesterday July 6, 2010 I received a call to my cell phone while at work from 571-422-7207. When I answered there was a recorded message stating that my credit card from "Evergreen something or another Bank" had been inactivated, and in order to reactivate it to press "one". Fully knowing that this was a scam, I pressed "one" to see how far they would go. Of course the next message, also recorded, prompted me to enter the 16 digits of  my credit card. I entered some random numbers to which they repited to confirm. Fearing that I may have entered somebody's valid number, I changed the entry to 16 times the number 5. The message at the other end stated it was not valid number and to re-enter it. I then entered 007 until I reached 16 digits. Again I was prompted to re-enter the number as the 007 was not a valid number. I tried several times with bogus numbers, and each time the message at the other end stated it was not a valid number. I'm sure their system is sofisticated enough to detect when they find a poor soul who falls for their scam. I wish there was a way to punish the jerks.

I got a call as well as my husband ten minutes later from this number (although the number that came up on my phone was 120 ???).  We retrieved the number from my husband's call.  The call was a recorded message from "Brookville National Bank" (never heard of, do not do business w/) and something about discovering something wrong w/ our account causing them to place a hold on our account. . . press '1' for security to release the account" and after pressing one another/same canned message comes on, so my husband hung up.  We both have verizon phones.  Don't know what the scam was.  Didn't give them a chance to get any personal info.

I received the same call on my Verizon cell phone as Pam did from "Brookville National Bank". That is a local bank but not one we use. I hung up as I recognized it as a scam. About 30 minutes later my husband received the same call on his cell phone.

I just got a call from this number with a recorded message from Brookville National Bank. I live near a bank by the same name but never banked with them. Also the area code is from Virginia and I live in Ohio. Called the number back and got the Verizon message that the number is disconnected. I got another call from the same number less than an hour later (didn't answer it this time). I just blocked the number from mine and my husbands phone. Just so you know, Verizon allows you to block 5 numbers for free.

My husband called Brookville National Bank this morning after we received 3 calls last night. Apparently all of the calls using Brookville National Bank are calls from Verizon starting with 937/657-xxxx. The bank suggested that anyone that got the call should call Verizon in hopes that they will look into the situation. Brookville National Bank has been swamped with complaint calls.

These people claiming to be Brookville National Bank have called me 4 times in the past 24 hours.  I have received calls from 1234567890 from 120 and most recently from 5612452100.  Is there not some way we can get rid of these calls?

Same here... my cell phone also begins with 937-657, and I got the same call from Brookville National Bank. They say that a debit card has been suspended. But I don't even bank at Brookville National Bank!! Clearly, this is an attempt at fraud.

Same issue as everyone above. My number also starts out 937-657 and I'm getting several messages about my debit card account having issues at "Brookville National Bank", and I'm not a member at that bank.

Same issue - ATT customer - got calls from three different numbers but same recording. One call was from Irvine, CA, the second was from Virginia, the third was from Salem, OH. I called the Irvine number back and it was a recording for a dentist's office. Somehow the system is hacking other businesses to make these calls. The third call was from 1-234-567-890x.
