Same here, I don't answer if I don't know hte number, they didn't leave a messade

I work at a public library reference desk and we get calls like this frequently. It was a recording about refinancing my mortgage from an unknown company. It stated I could press 1 for all the details or press 2 to remove the phone number from the calling list. I pressed 2 but I have no idea if that is effective. I considered pressing 1 for the details and then wasting the person's time when they answered but hey I'm at work and that's not what the phone here is for.

Received a call about credit card interest rates.

Also received a call from this number identified as DC SUBURB, VA .
I called it back thinking it was a customer, but an automated service picked up and recalled my number then requested that I push 1 if this was my number. Obviously an advertisement.

Keep getting calls on my cell from this number...WHO are they and why are they wasting my minutes!!??

Someone keeps calling my phone about credit card advertisement

just called me for the second time in 1 hr... if i dont know the area code.. i dont pick up.. i figure if it's important.. they'll leave a msg.

I hope the person calling me from this number falls off a bridge on a train track while on fire.

I have pressed options 2 and 0 to have my number removed and still they call everyday and its an automated system about home loans. I will pursue sueing them if they do not stop!

This company calls constantly asking if you want to lower your interest rate by pressing 1 or to stop the calls press 2. I spoke with a rep there and asked which credit card company they are with and he said we aren't one. Total scam artists with little to no education.

I get calls from this number everyday on both my home and cell phone.  It doesn't matter that I press #2 to remove my number, they continue to call.  What ever happened to the National Do Not Call List?

I wrote a couple of replies on 1-866-216-8234. I got a call from Brian Valencia that I qualified for $1000.00 but I thought he may be the Sham Wow guy (he got beat up by a hooker) and when I called the 866 number to ask this gnawing question, they all hung up on me. This number, 1-571-431-1944, doesn't allow me to talk to anyone. I JUST got done typing my reply to the 866 number when the 571 people called me. The girl tells me to push 1 if I want my number removed from their list. I did this a couple of weeks ago about 20 times. Didn't work. She then says to push 2 and enter another number I would want removed. I did and entered 555-1212 about 3 times, and some other fakes a number of times. Each time the girl says in a spirited voice that the number has been removed. Deep down I think it's Brian Valencia's cousin and he's mad that I let out that Brian is really the Sham Wow guy!

just got the call... called back automated message to refinance my mortgage, and really i lost that a year ago... little late

No message left, however, I never have received these type of calls until I was selling a mower on Craig's List last month.  As soon as I sent my cell phone number, to what I thought were interested people, the calls started.

Caller has no ID, and location in or around the DC metro area, VA, MD.
DO NOT TYPE IN OR INDICATE YOUR NUMBER.  THIS SERVICE IS TO VERIFY WORKING NUMBERS ONLY!
If you type in your number, your only verifying its correctness and working status.
This allows your number to be validated and sold to another team.
The only way to avoid this is NEVER give your number.  PERIOD.
Have a separate SCAN Number you can give when your asked and you dont know the person or company.
POLICE also use this technique to track and verify individuals, to see if they are home or not, and to assess their status and actions/movements from one area to another.
This is called HUMINT.  Goggle it.

This my friends is a collection agency, NCO to be precise.
They have numerous offices throughout the united states. They will use any trick in the book to get you on the phone. So Beware!they tell you to remove the number but I truly beleive this is a phone tracking system so your number isn't really removed and they just keep calling. I have removed my number numerous times and about an hour after i do this i get a call.

someone calls and just sits there..about 20 times a day..starting at 730 AM till 10 PM..i have a 6 yr old with Down syndrome..harrasing the disabled is a crime as the phone scares her...

I have a lawyer already..I want something done..

So if its a collection agency -why would they offer option #2????

Caller stated he was calling to help lower my Interest rates. I asked on What. He stated all my Credit Cards. I asked how would he know i have Credit Cards. He stated he was calling to lower Interest rates on either Visa or Master Card. I stated, those are 2 different companies. He stated he worked for Visa. I replied, you worked for Visa and you`re calling to get me klower rates on all my credit cards? He said, sarcastically, that I should have gotten a letter with my last statement making me aware of his forthcoming call. I told him he was full of [***]. He was smart enough to hang up.
Do not talk to these people. I have called the New York State Attorney Generals` office. This person works with no Major Credit Card or Mortgage Company. They seem to be absorbing a lot of personal information. He had no idea what cards I had. I haven`t had a Master Card in years.
