Same thing happened to me. Picked up the phone, no one answered and the call disconnected

continuous calls from this number all times of the day.

It's a Debt Collection Agency. I got an unexpected medical co-pay bill for over $1300. I am making regular monthly payments.MEDSTAR General turned me into a debt collection agency as I didn't pay the whole unexpected $1300 within 60 days.

They keep calling daily. I asked that they stop calling but everytime they call someone says that the requesr was not noted and would be, but it never seems to be. I'm about to go a step further and report them to VA state police for harassment

I read here it's a debt collection agency. Hmm, I have no outstanding debt and they call me anyway. Missed the call, but left no message. Sometimes they have ancient phone numbers on their file, I experienced debt collection calls on my line for more than 2 years after I got my number. The previous owner sure had A LOT of debt. Now it's over 4 years, maybe they buy up old claims and try to collect? It sure is not me they want to reach but MY NUMBER.

How do you blacklist? My provider T-Mobile won't unless you pay a hefty fee, if I remember correctly...

Caller identified herself as representing Fairfax County regarding a credit issue. The number was identified by Sprint as originating in Arlington County.  Asked me to "verify" my SSN, which I declined to do, advising I don't give out financial info to unknown callers on the phone.
She responded that she had "identified" herself so I shouldn't challenge her.
I responded that I could call her up and "identify" myself as Santa Claus.

She hung up.

Must have been for previous number holder. Do not answer unfamiliar phone numbers. Do not keep voice mail on either, as cannot be bothered checking bogus messages. Life is much more peaceful that way.

Displays "NCC" on caller ID.  Left no message on answering machine.

Calls oncebor twice daily.  I called in the evening and voice mail said thank you for calling nationwide credit.
