answered and said hello......lots of background noise, a female said hello and I repeated hello and she hung up.

I got a call from them too... however, I canceled my verizon cell phone service that had a 571 area code and I have moved out of state and now have a different area code and they called my new phone with my new area code..I didn't answer the phone..

get them every once in a while they never leave a message, im on the do not call list and dont answer any numbers i dont know on my cell

This is a spam caller saying you are receiving a government grant, which is a complete scam. Please don't fall for it. After I had mentioned that I report him to the authorities when he called me back, he laughed at said I was losing out on my grant money and hung up on me.

I got a call from  571-515-5555: and the guy claimed I have been selected to receive a grant from the US government  when I asked him about how he got my number and my address he told me  to speak with his boss both of them were speaking with a heavy ascent they could not pronounce the name of  my state which was North Carolina  that was funny so when asked him why he could not pronounce the State name and he claimed to be calling from washing and he just went mute over the phone so I told him to [***] off the phone Lol!!!

They also called me saying it was a government grant and that I had to western union a person from a foreign country $250.00 before they would deposit the $7,000.00 into my bank account please don't fall for this scam!!!!!!!

I received this call twice, and same thing, he said i was selected to receive a government grant and he wanted to verify my personal information I said I don't give nobody such information and hung up, he called again and i did not pick up the phone.

I tried to call the number 571-515-5555 back and I get a message stating the number is not in service... how can that be if I just got a call from it?

They use a common tool used in collections which enables them to enter a number other than the number they are really calling from so your caller Id reflects the number they input not their contact number...

I received a call from this number with same results. No message, background noise, etc., and I really wondered one thing on the post about changing phones and area codes because I did that too. If you use the same sims card in the new phone and still get calls, then what? Does this mean that once someone is registered or has called on the old phone and it is stored in the "SIMS" Card (not yelling, and only caps to make sure that is correct) can the Pest still tap into the new phone if the card was moved to save information or contacts?  I lost my phone or it was "borrowed", and I had to get another phone. The provider company disconnected the old phone, and all of my information stored on the old phone was lost. I then had to get a new phone and re-enter all of my contacts. I guess I want to know if you move and get a new area code and phone only to transfer information on a memory device from the old phone can the mystery Pest still call if you answered, and it is in the transferred memory?

This number calls me repeatedly. I will report you to the police and fbi if you dont stop calling me. I say hello and no one says anything. Harrassing me by calling and breathing hard into phone then hangs up. My number is on the do not call list and I can and will prosecute the owner of the number 1-571-515-5555 if you do not stop calling me.

they call theres alot of background noise and they hang up if my wife answers they want to talk to her but when you call the number back it says you dialed an incorrect code there calling a couple times a day ...this has gotta stop

Ditto! They call & don't leave a message.
You try to call, a recording states it out of service.

I get calls from these grant people multiple times a day. I've asked for their supervisor and they hang up. I tell them I will report them, they hang up and call again five minutes later. I've had my husband tell them they got a wrong number and they call again in a couple of hours. I've received calls from these people as early as 6 am my time and as late as 11:30 pm. It doesn't seem to matter what I say or do when on the phone, they keep calling me. It's been going on for 2 or 3 months now and I want to scream! I don't pick up the phone when I don't recognize the number now and it's causing problems.

These people are such jokes. My husband (who is the patient and tolerate one) handed me the phone to have a little phone.  I told them the "ploy"to have them speak with me was just to keep them on the phone while immigration and the police arrived at their office!  Suddenly, the $$$ they said we had to pay back to "Washington" was not important and they hung up

If you get a call from 571-515-5555 do not answer any questions!  They claim you will be given $7000 grant money and tell you to call 206-792-9451 with your grant approve ID#.  They would not answer any of my questions and they couldn't speak English!  They claim to be based in Washington DC .  They told me I got the grant money because I didn't have a criminal record or any bills.  Then they askd me if I was a student and my age.  When u try to call 571-515-5555 it wont let your or is disc.   I looked on google and saw complaints like mine - and there is no such thing as  "Federal Gov Grants Repairment" .... and if you do a google search for this it will show something about getting grants for home repairs/business owners ... lol

just received a call from a person saying I was pre-selected for a 7,000.00 free grant......no pay back then they hung up......weird  hope nothing comes of just answering the call.  could not understand the person as he did not speak English very well.

I recieved a threatening vmail message stating " [***] UR GONNA DIE" so  about to make a police report
