ID said Children's Cancer.

The lady identified herself as being from Children's Cancer, she was very pushy and did not take no for an answer, also she called at 8:29 am!!!

Soliciting to fight childhood cancer. Can anyone explain to me how giving money to a total stranger over the phone is going to fight cancer? Obviously a scam.

They called at 9:50am identifying themselves as AC, a professional fundraiser for Children's Cancer. That's as far as I let her get before I told her I don't give to professional fundraisers and to take me off her list.

Have gotten a call every day this week from this number.  Today, we received two!  I usually let it ring, but today I answered.  I told her we do not donate to fundraisers.  This is when I received a second call this afternoon.  They do not seem to want to take no for an answer, so I'm going to let my nice Panasonic phone block the number!   I think if these people spent the money for their cause rather than their constant begging there would be no need to bother us at 8:30 a.m. and again at 2 p.m.!!!

Got the same call as you did--just hope they stop calling when I told them NO but I doubt it--

Got a call from them, answered the phone, said they needed
donations for childrens cancer fund, but would not take
less than 15 dollars.  If they want to help the children
they should take any amount.

We give to our local charities and do not want or give to phone call solicitation. Please remove our number from your list.

As Executive Director of Children's Chance, a small non profit that helps SC families who have a child fighting cancer, we have received complaints from folks in VA and OR that have received rude phone calls from individuals at this number stating they were fund raising for us. This is not true. Children's Chance in Columbia, South Carolina does not use phone solicitors or contact people to raise money by phone. If you receive a call from this number, contact the Secretary of State or Attorney General in your state, file a complaint and have them pursue any option available to prevent future misrepresentation and/or harassment.

Just got a call at 8:50 PM from this number. Call ID said Children's Cancer.  Caller asked for a person by only the first name. I said there was no one here by that name. She then said they were calling "everyone" in the area and that I could probably help. I said no thank you and she kept trying to talk over me.

i recieved a call at 9:48 on Thursday stating they were from Childrens chance asking if they could send an envelope wanted me to make a donation to put a smile on a childs face. i let the lady finish then i told her we can't even afford to make our bills. I would gladly give to a child in need but i have never heard of this charity before. and i'm sure not giving money over the phone. needless to say she hung up quit fast.

Called at 10 minutes after 8am - I was so stunned at the gall of getting an unsolicited call at that time that I didn't even have the presence of mind to tell her I know my state Attorney General personally.

I have been getting several calls a day from this number. They say they are calling from Childrens Chance. I tell them no but they keep calling anyway.

I have had an unpublished and unlisted number for 17 years at the recommendation of the local police, ever since my ex left me and stalked and terrorized me for 3 years just so I don't get these kinds of calls.  Unfortunately, a scam artist has given my number to people she runs out on and for MONTHS (in two long) separate periods, I got calls from Sun Trust Collection agencies and finally l called the Verizon Unlawful Call Center which will block calls but NOT 1-800 calls!!!  I got two from this number, one in the morning on April 17 and one at night on 4/18.  There seems no end to the amount of numbers THESE scammers can call from!  I wasn't home when these came in but before I looked this number up (thinking it was legitimate!), I thought I would answer it and tell them it was an unlisted, unpublished number and not to call again!  I need to remember to ALWAYS look up ANY number I don't recognize no matter WHAT caller ID says because it's probably a scam!  It doesn't matter if you block their numbers because they'll just call from another!  I wish I knew HOW they got my number in the first place!!!

Got a call from this number at 8:11am this morning.  I said, "hello" and there was a long pause and no one said anything so I hung up.  I am on the Do Not Call List AND my number is unlisted/unpublished.  How these people get my number is beyond me.I know my Attorney General personally and I'll be letting them know this when they call back.

I got that too.At the same time.8.30 AM.

got call at 8am , thought that early something was wrong maybe with my daughter , picked up phone , did not hear anyone so hung up, now I know not to answe when I see that number , my phone # is unlisted and Im on do not call , guess thats not much use.

I don't usually answer calls from people I don't know, but tonight I did. The caller asked for my dad, but I told her he wasn't available, but that I was his daughter & I'd take a message. She said, "Oh, we're calling for you, too." (yeah ok) So she went through her speech & I agreed to donating $15. She then told me she'd have to transfer me to confirm my pledge. The next lady I spoke to said she needed a credit or debit card number. Um, if you're going to send me a pledge card, then why do you need a credit/debit card number? Don't think so...so I hung up. So sad that people are using kids' cancer to scam people out of money.
